(A/N: Sorry it has been so long! A lot of you enjoyed the first, I wanted to finish up the original second part to this! This was started before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, so some details may be different from the movie. Hope you enjoy!)

Drawing a deep breath, Sonic's lips curled up into a smile as he exhaled, feeling the breeze gently brush through his fur. It was early morning, not even the birds had woken from their slumber, but Sonic had been up all night - in fact, he'd only just returned to his own planet.

After spending a night with his new found friends, enjoying one of the spectacular meteor showers they had, Sonic had bid them farewell and returned to Earth. Tom and Maddie still hadn't found out about his recent discovery of the other anthropomorphic animals, and he was still unsure whether to tell them or not - they might go all parent-mode on him. He let out a soft chuckle, they were cool, really.

It had been a couple of months since he'd first met his other self. It was still slightly unnerving to see something unfamiliar, yet so similar to himself. The royal-blue Sonic had only laughed when he mentioned how strange it was, saying that it wasn't the first time he'd seen another version of himself - apparently there were many others.

That alone made Sonic's head spin.

To know that he wasn't the only anthropomorphic he knew anymore, but that there was multiple versions of himself that existed.

Emeralds opened, and he saw the hint of the sunrise from the tree he was sat in. Earth was beautiful early in the morning, even more so that he was far from large cities. Being in open spaces was definitely more his style. With a stretch, he stood on the branch with his hands on his hips.

"Well, time to get back home."

With one last glance at the sunrise, a blue streak signified his leave from the tree. A large grin plastered his face as the world blurred around him, a boom echoing his leave. This was the speed he was meant to go. He never would've realised this speed if he hadn't met his other version. Going so fast that the surroundings were just a mixture of colours, feeling the burn in his legs.

He felt free.

Earth was safe now, he could run anywhere and no one would bat an eyelid. He had a home, a family, friends like him that he could visit whenever, and he wasn't alone anymore. The smile only grew as he pushed himself forward, clenching his fists. Nothing could ruin this.

WHACK!

Sonic let out a grunt as his back slammed into the ground, feeling the sticks and dirt sticking to his fur as he rolled. Coming to a stop, he let out a low groan, gripping the side of his head. What did I hit...?

Blue ears twitched at soft whimper and he looked over, eyes widening at the yellow figure slumped on the floor. Twin tails twisted, the two large ears on the creature's head were slumped forward, a gloved hand reaching out for a small device that had landed next to him. He looked like.... the others Sonic's best friend...

Sonic felt himself freeze as the creature mumbled under his breath before glancing up. Bright blue eyes met green and they both stared at each other, eyes wide and shocked. The yellow creature sat up quickly, a soft gasp leaving him.

"It's you..." the male spoke, excitement edging onto his voice. He suddenly stood and spun his tails, spinning around in circles as a large smile graced his lips, "It's you! I found you!"

Sonic didn't know what to say. He'd been searching for him?

"Do I know you?" Sonic asked, still crouched on the ground.
