Akshara Birla was fast asleep on their bed when Abhimanyu Birla entered his room after an exhausting day of work as he'd three surgeries lined up since morning and hardly got time to eat lunch. Massaging his neck as he took off his jacket and watch, he glanced at his wife through the mirror. She didn't even stir in her sleep which was weird for his Akshu as she always sensed his arrival before he made it to their room. His brow edged up in a frown when he touched her forehead to check her temperature, the doctor in him said all was fine as her temperature was normal but the husband in him was still worried—he couldn't last an hour without hearing her voice anyway.

He kissed her forehead lightly and whispered her name, caressing her hair softly as he took in the cute sight of his Akshu curled up in his shirt.
'It's your scent, feels like you're cuddling me.' — She'd say whenever he asked her about her obsession for his white shirt, but he knew his wife better to say that she really loved to see him in white.

- "Akshu, baba...wake up. Your Docman is here..." He whispered as he nuzzled her hair, placing soft kisses on the side of her face—he wouldn't have gotten close to her if it's not for the bath he took at hospital before leaving.

- "...Abhi..." She breathed his name in her sleep, an arm already wrapping around his neck even in her half conscious state. "You're back..." She whispered as she pulled him on the bed, climbing on top of him to snuggle in his chest. He chuckled but hugged her.

- "Are you sniffing me, Akshu?" His laugh resonated in their bedroom as he caught her inhaling his scent.

She looked up finally then, a sleepy smile adorning her face. "So, what if I am, Mr.Birla? Am I not allowed to?"

- "You are allowed to do whatever you want with me, Mrs. Akshara Birla."

She hummed and nuzzled his neck again dropping a kiss there.

- "Are you on your periods, baby?" Abhimanyu asked as he knew that she's extra clingy whenever she's her periods.

- "You know me too well, Abhi!" His wife whined, "My back has been paining since this afternoon and my stomach is poking me without rest."
He grimaced and caressed her back. Being a doctor, he knew periods can be painful and also knew he can't help his Akshu in this but he couldn't see her in pain either. "Did you take your meds?" She nodded after a moment and Abhi knew she was lying. "Akshu, look at me and tell." He demanded but as she didn't because she knew he'll catch her lying, Abhi shook his head as his doubts were confirmed. He got up without a word lifting her up with him.

Akshara let out a surprised gasp as she felt the warmth of the comforter leave her body as her husband carried her out of their bedroom. She quickly wrapped her legs and arms around him and whined. "Abhi!"

- "What Abhi? You were in pain all afternoon and you didn't take medicines." He softly scolded her as he headed downstairs. Akshara knew that arguing with her stubborn husband on her health was useless so instead, she sighed and gave up, silently enjoying his concern and attention. She loved to be pampered by her Abhi anyway.

Her back hit the cold kitchen island and Akshara took a look at her hubby finally as he switched on the lights—it was quite late at night and everyone were sleeping—she glanced at the wall clock to see 11pm. She returned her attention back to her Abhi as he wandered in the kitchen in search of ingredients for whatever recipe he'd in mind to make her feel better. Even in a simple white tee, he looked devilishly handsome. She thanked her Kanha Ji for sending this hot potato to her as she continued to check him out shamelessly while he was boiling some water.
