It's been a while since Abhi stopped crying but he didn't move from the safe cocoon of her arms as he'd told her everything. His childhood traumas, fears, his mother's pain, his pain, then what happened in one year where she wasn't there, how he started traveling, exercising more to deal with his depression, how he heard her voice through Shefali Bhabi's phone call and he chased her voice in Jaipur in hopes of getting a glimpse of her. She'd already read a big part in his diary but it was better to hear it from himself. She too apologized for not understanding his pain before and made him promise to never ever hide his pain from her.

As they lied in a peaceful silence since Abhi finished his part of the story, she thought it was her turn to let him know about everything she went through for one year. And so she poured her heart to him, her sufferings, her yearning, her fears of rejection...everything. He held her tightly listening to her every word carefully, taking everything in, assuring her of her worries from time to time. Finally, she came to the part where she first saw him in real, that is in Jaipur. She confessed to him about finding him lying unconscious on the ground and screaming him to wake up and ended up sobbing in his chest as she remembered that terrible day when she felt the worst of her fears coming true. She almost lost him there, her sacrifice, pain...everything she did, meant nothing if he's no more. The mere thought made her shudder.

Abhimanyu's croaked voice broke the silence they were in. "I'm sorry that you'd to go through that..." His hands caressed her back, "I can't even imagine what I would've done if I saw you—" A chill went down his spine and his words died in his throat, "I would've died there, Akshu." He confessed.

- "Abhi!" His wife covered his mouth as she looked down at him in shock and fear. "Don't ever say that again."

Seeing her eyes glistening again, he quickly apologized wiping her tears. "Sorry, baba...sorry, don't cry. I'm sorry." As she was still tearing up, glaring down at him, he held his ear and whined. "Akshuu! Yarrr...I'm sorry."

- "You should be! Idiot." She muttered as she hit him with a pillow repeatedly.

- "Arrey! Where're your manners, woman? You're calling your husband idiot?" He opened his mouth dramatically as he held her hands to stop her from hitting him.

- "Idiot." She said it again staring right into his eyes. Abhi's lips twitched at the daring look in her eyes but he controlled his grin. "I'll kiss you if you call me idiot again." His eyes wandered down to her soft lips as the air around them got hotter. When he looked up at her eyes again, her eyes had turned darker.

Akshara brought her hands up to his shoulders without blinking as she whispered. "Idiot." The next second, his mouth closed on hers capturing the moan that escaped her lips.

Her hands went to his bare back, her fingers sending shivers down his spine as she trailed them to his hair while their lips tangled together in a passionate lip lock. All her senses were clouded with him, the feel of his hands making her go insane with need  as they teased down her body ever so slightly. She couldn't remember anything else than the man who's doing wonders to her with a simple kiss.

- "Abhi..." She panted his name as he pulled away with a last nip on her lower lip. Abhimanyu stared down at her heatedly as his hand came up to brush her messy strands away from her face. "Can we go for another round, baby?"

Akshara's heart melted. Was it even possible to fall more for this man than she already was? Well, he just proved, yes, that it was indeed possible.

- "You don't need to ask." He grinned a genuine, happy smile as he went for another kiss, thanking all the gods in the world to have sent this angel for him.

AN: A very short chapter I know, but I wanted this in a separate part like an epilogue of 'Pain of love' series.

So here it is, the end. For me, this discussion was needed between AbhiRa. They both had to know and acknowledge each other's pain before apologizing and moving on.

I'm not complaining, they did show that they indeed, realized their mistakes. Honestly, I'm very happy of their reunion and their maturity, currently. However, I felt like the makers rushed their reunion in a way : while I'm not complaining about it happening, I wished to see a special track that shows the depth of their traumas and them healing together. That's what they lacked in the show.

It's my personal opinion of course, many can agree or disagree with me.

Leaving everything aside, I hope you liked 'Pain of Love', and if you did, please do vote.

I've a question for my next update :
So I'm working on two different series, one directly related to the current track of the show (after Abhi learning about Akshu's pregnancy difficulties) and another one totally different from the show, a much lighter romance.

What do you guys want me to update first? I'd be working on what you suggest here, leaving the other aside for now.
