AN : Hello everyone!
I was scrolling through my drafts and saw this, I wrote this a while ago and forgot to post it. Since I didn't wanted to delete it (I've spent hours on it🤧), I decided to publish it. Read the timeline correctly, it doesn't happen now.

Timeline : Abhi's learned that Akshu will have difficulties conceiving. And he told her the truth after consulting many doctors about it. (So no blackmail drama here). Akshu was broken at first but slowly started to hope as Abhi was strong in his belief. They revealed it to the family after a while and are optimistic that they'll overcome this together. However, Arohi and Mahima would taunt Akshu on the matter from now and then, which didn't go unnoticed by Abhi but Akshu convinced him to ignore their taunts.

It was Sunday, the only day where all the members of Birla family gathered to eat lunch together. Akshara was in the kitchen helping her Manjiri Maa in cooking the favorite dishes of their family as she listened to her Maa sharing some funny childhood stories of her dear husband—who was still sleeping in their room as he got home late the day before.

She'd share some of her own anecdotes about him and they'd laugh together while working. Everything went okay until Arohi entered the kitchen as she wanted to "help" her Maa. Akshara, rolled her eyes but didn't even glance at her as she continued her work, royally ignoring her. Just as Manjiri cracked another joke about Abhi's babyhood stating that he was such a 'nautanki' baby, making Akshara threw her head back and laugh, Arohi boiling in anger and jealousy, said something that made her freeze on spot.

- "Those who can't have something, can only hear stories about it. What else can they do..." Arohi sighed shaking her head as she saw her words sinking in her sister's mind when she saw her face blanch, smile disappearing and hands fisting tightly on the kitchen island. She smirked in victory and continued her taunt. "After all, not everyone is lucky enough to be a Maa. And sadly, a woman who can't bear her husband's child can never give true happiness to her husband nor to his family."

Akshara's already broken heart dropped in her stomach as hurt tears pooled at the corner of her eyes rapidly. She knew her sister since childhood, she knew her taunts, she's learned to ignore them as she only knows to hurt other's feelings. But as she stood in the kitchen, clutching the counter tight in her hands that they turned white, she couldn't help the searing pain that her words inflicted on her.

'A woman who can't bear her husband's child can never give true happiness to her husband nor to his family'

Those words absolutely shattered her being, tearing her heart and soul apart as she tried hard to hold back a whimper. Quietly muttering a lame excuse to Manjiri and somehow managing to not cry right there, she made her way out of the kitchen slapping a hand on her mouth as she did so. She barely turned the corner when she collided into a well built chest. Her moist eyes looked up to see her husband's teary eyes and she broke. Clutching his body in her hands, burying her face in his chest while his arms engulfed her in a tight, protective embrace as if he wanted to shield her from the cruel world who gave pain to his love. She held him even tighter as he moved them to a corner of the house away from prying eyes, and kept whispering sweet nothings to her, kissing the crown of her head repeatedly.

Abhimanyu held his whole world in his arms, refusing to let her go, as he himself, controlled his own sobs that wanted to tear his being apart from watching her suffering.
