CHAPTER 5

"Do you want me to send you off?" I asked Kristoff, we are at the dining table, just finished eating breakfast.

The call he received last night was from his brother telling him that they have an emergency at home. In Vegas, and he has to be there to attend to their mom.

I wonder what that is but I am not in the position to ask him things involving personal matters because he never did ask me about mine.

And I am thankful for that, because I honestly don't know what to answer. Besides, we do open up things to each other without our knowledge, mas maganda na malaman namin ang tungkol sa isa't isa nang hindi namin kailangan magpilitan para lang magkwento.

If he wants me to climb his wall, he will let me put a hook on it so I could have something to use to reach him.

But if he doesn't want to, I respect his decision. Him being my husband is already a big help for me. He was like an angel sent by God to me.

"No need, just go straight to the hospital. And oh, don't go near that man." He said looking at his wristwatch. Nine in the morning is his flight and it's only seven.

Hindi niya kailangan sabihin iyon dahil kusa akong lalayo, nakakasakal ang makasama ang lalaking iyon sa maliit na espasyo.

"Okay, just have a safe flight." I nodded.

"Ingat po kayo sa biyahe Doc Kristoff." The maids stated but like his normal self, he just nodded at them.

Napakasungit talaga.

"Kayo na po muna ang bahala sa asawa ko." Kristoff said as he goes out of the main door. Sa what?

I felt something on my stomach, my smile grew wider when I heard his next words, this is the happiest day.

"You can go sleepover with your friends if you're not comfortable here but don't go back to your condo unit, you're not safe there. I'll get going," he said before carefully ruffling my hair. Aangal sana ako kasi mahirap magsuklay pero hindi ko na pinansin dahil kinikilig ako.

Ngayon na lang kasi ulit ako makakapag-bond kasama ang barkada. Just thinking of the stupid things we might do later is enough to make me feel giddy.

"Before I forget, put that number on the blacklist." He added.

It's actually on the blacklist but since he always sends messages using different numbers, I just set it to automatically block any number that would text me using the filtered word, Lav.

I showed him my phone screen.

"Very good," I made a face, ginawa akong tuta, he laughed seeing my contorted face, "I'll go first, see you in a week." He said before hopping in his car.

I watched his car leave the mansion before I proceeded to his car. I'm still using Kristoff's Maserati car. Nandito na naman ang kotse ko dahil naipa-deliver na siya pero gusto ko munang lumain ang kotse niya bago ko ibalik.

I texted Zia that I will visit her place later after work before I drove to the hospital.

Nasa entrada pa lang ako ng hospital ay sumalubong na sa akin ang humahangos na si Nurse Kaori.

"Kanina pa kita hinihintay, those police officers are finding you and I don't know why." She said, Kaori held my hand telling me to calm before we stride our way to the officers' location.

At bakit ko nga pala kailangan kumalma?

"Good morning officer, ano pong kailangan niyo sa akin?" Still confused, I managed to ask them politely.
