CHAPTER 12
"What the fuck is he doing there?"
She asked at the back of her head, knowing Nathaniel, he never drinks starting the day they decided to make their relationship official. But what had happened? Was he slowly going back to where he used to be?
Maybe RK was right, once a gago always a gago. But he showed some changes, he was no longer the controlling partner. He was no longer giving her restrictions about the way she dressed or to whom she went out with.
Or did he really change?
"Puntahan mo ako please." His pleading voice brought different feelings for her. There was a race on her chest and her hands started to tremble.
Lavienne didn't think twice, she grabbed her car keys and drove towards the place.
When she reached the entrance, her heart doubled its beat as she smelled the alcohol from the inside.
The smell made her stomach churned. She badly wanted to puke, she would never get used to the smell of alcohol no matter how many times she went out with her squad.
"Hi Miss, what's your name?" A man asked her but she refused to look at him, she searched for Nathaniel using her eyes and she saw him sitting on one of the sofas almost sleeping. His table was filled with empty bottles of alcoholic beverages.
She walked straight to him and he was welcomed by his tight hug.
"Happy anniversary Lav." He said before attempting to kiss her but she refused. The alcohol in his mouth was making her feel dizzy.
"What the fuck?! Bakit ka umiwas? Hahalikan ka lang naman!" He attempted kissing her again but he was still unsuccessful.
"Ano ba Nate umayos ka nga!" Sigaw niya sa lalaki, Nathaniel's eyebrow raised after hearing her raising a voice on him.
"Tsaka lagi naman kitang hinahalikan bakit ngayon ayaw mo? What? You've seen someone better? Mas mayaman? And look at what the hell are you wearing? Ano ka nagbebenta ng katawan?"
Hearing all of those, Lavienne remained calm despite the blood boiling. She wanted to punch him, after all, he is still the same Nathaniel, the red flag Legazpi she met during her second year.
"Don't you dare accuse me of those and stop talking to me like that! The way I dress is not something you should decide!" She can't help but lash out.
"Really? Maybe you're just ready since it's a bar. Rich people like you loves going here and do casual sex! At isa pa, kanina ka pa sigaw nang sigaw naririnig naman kita! Tang-ina mas galit ka pa sa akin samantalang ako ang mas may karapatang magalit!" He shouted back.
The dance floor was busy and many were wildly doing their own lives. There were couples making out from everywhere.
"I can't believe you! Wow, you really concluded that as if you don't know who I am? Said you've changed? And for the record, you're also shouting!" She can't help but snap at him.
First, he knew she doesn't drink, second, she never liked someone raising a voice on her, third, she hates this kind of place and lastly, she never did casual fucks. They never had a made out session, to say the least.
"Alright alright, I'm sorry. It's our anniversary and yet we're fighting?" He said after minutes of silence.
"Your fault. You were saying gibberish things."
"Yeah yeah I admit my mistake there." Another long deafening silence enveloped them but it was Nathaniel who broke it, again.
"Let's go inside Lav." He said, her eyes widened asking him where that inside he was pertaining to.
