Michael POV:

Christmas was coming up and Sadie and I were all ready for the season. Not so much Sadie, mostly me. She was filming in Berlin for her new movie and I had gone with her, so I went back to NYC a few days before she was supposed to come back to get the apartment all ready. I said I had some work stuff to do but I didn't, I just wanted to surprise her!

I set up the tree, brought out the ornaments but left them in boxes so we could set them up together. I went to target and bought a bunch of Christmas decorations, included a snoopy stuffed animal that plays Christmas music. Because who couldn't have that? It's awesome. I also got a few squishmallows because Sadie loves them and so does Charlotte, who is over at our apartment a lot.

When I got back to the apartment I carried every bag up at once, and the doorman thought I was probably crazy with the amount of stuff I had.

I walked in the door to the apartment and placed all the bags by the tree. I took out all of the candy canes I got and put them in a small vase. It could be like a take one as you go thing. I got different flavors too. I probably should've looked at the labels for these things, because I don't know if Sadie can eat them. They're probably not vegan. Oopsie.
I moved on from those and set up the Christmas lights too. I put them around the counters, but not on top. They're under the counters because of the little part of the marble that goes off the counter can fit them.

Then I moved onto the little things. I put the singing snoopy on the sofa and put my Christmas Lego sets on top of the fireplace. We never actually used the fireplace so this isn't too much of a hazard. I had to move some framed photos of Sadie and I that were put there and I moved them to the little table next to the sofa. They're cute photos, they're top of the fireplace worthy, but during the Christmas season they're moved.

I set up my Christmas Lego town and made it so it could light up. I got some blankets and put them on the sofa as well.

After all of that was done I only had one bag left. That had some of Sadie's presents inside. I've gotten all of her presents while she's been gone. I've sent them all here and had Charlotte put them in the spare closet. Now that she was gone it was the perfect time to wrap them.

I took out the wrapping paper and got all of her gifts next to me. I started with a few books she wanted and wrapped those up. The next ones were makeups and beauty products she had talked about. Those were harder to wrap but I got it eventually. I also got her an air fryer. Mainly cause I wanted one and it could be a gift for both of us. Don't judge me, she's getting plenty more gifts just for her.

After another hour I had finished wrapping all of the gifts. I decided to leave them by the tree so I didn't have to hide them, it's not like she's allowed to open them yet anyway.

I finished all of my decorating and crashed on the couch and used a new squishmallow as a pillow. I woke up at like eight pm and decided to order Chinese food for dinner.

A few days later Sadie came back home. I drove to the airport to pick her up. I parked in the airport parking lot and rushed into the baggage claim area. I waited for around ten minutes before I saw the fiery red hair I was looking for. I waved and so she noticed where I was. She and waved back while speedwalking over.

"Hi!" I exclaimed once she crashed into me and wrapped her arms around my body. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. "I missed you." Sadie mumbled while she was still hugging me. "I was only gone for three days." I told her and she nodded. "Three days too many!" She responded and let go of me and gave me a quick kiss. I grabbed her hand and held it in mine as we walked to get her bag. When we picked it up I took her back to the car.

"I was invited to the governors awards. It's in LA and it's on Saturday if you're free. I'm surprised they're making you work when the preseason hasn't started yet." Sadie told me while I drove back to the apartment. "Yeah, I didn't actually have work. I left early cause I have a surprise for you back home. But I'll get you a plane ticket. I can drop you off back here." I assured her. "What? You left for a surprise? Whatever. I don't think you understand what I was asking you, I want you to go with me." She pointed out as if it was obvious. It probably was though. "Oh! Yeah, I can go!" I agreed. "Perfect. My stylist has matching outfits for us." She explained. "Sounds awesome." I nodded. I turned on the radio and Katy Perry's song TGIF started playing, which caused me to jam out, and made Sadie laugh.

"How do you know all the words to this song?" Sadie asked through her laughter. I shrugged and pulled into the apartment buildings parking garage. I waited until the song finished before I got out of the car.

"Okay, we can go in now." I told Sadie and got her bag from the backseat. We got in the elevator and went up to our floor and I couldn't wait to see her reaction to my decorating.

"Michael! No!" Sadie groaned when she saw all of the Christmas decorations. "Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet!" She complained. "But it's winter! It's Christmas season!" I told her. "Fine." She grumbled and walked into our bedroom, probably going to take a nap. She's pretty jet lagged.

I texted mum and dad and told them I was going to LA with Sadie and we would come visit them. Mum seemed super excited for that. She said she would make sure my room was ready. I'm glad I'll get to go see them, and go to this award thing with Sadie. It's gonna be a fun trip!
