Michael POV:

Today was Christmas morning, and Sadie was just waking up. I've been up for maybe twenty minutes just scrolling through instagram.

"Good morning." Sadie mumbled next to me. "Good morning!" I told her cheerfully. I gave her a kiss and that instantly woke her up. "Merry Christmas." She whispered to me. "Merry Christmas." I whispered back.

Today we were hosting a Christmas party. Charlotte and Jules were coming, along with Sadie's family. Mum and dad were in London for Christmas this year so we were going to visit them for New Years.

I got up and stretched for a second before putting on my slippers. I made some hot chocolate for Sadie and I. Hers just had almond milk in it and mine had regular milk.

We sat down on the sofa by the tree and I handed her the first present. "Stop." She said once she got a small peek of the inside and finished opening the present. "Do you like it?" I asked her and she nodded. "It's cool." She told me and admired the Taylor Swift vinyl.

"This one's yours." Sadie told me and handed me a slim but wide present. I opened it and there was a white box inside. I opened the box to see a Yankees jersey. "Look on the back." She added and I took it out of the box and flipped it over. "Woah!" I smiled and saw the back said 'Dr. (L/n)' which I probably can't wear at work but it's cool nonetheless. I'll have to ask if I can wear it to work. "This is awesome!" I exclaimed and slipped it on.

"Okay, which one should I give you next." I pondered out loud and walked around the presents. "This one." I decided and picked up the heavy box. I got her a new record player to go with her new vinyl. The old ones about to break.

"Here you go." I told her and placed the box down on her lap. I sat back down and she started unwrapping the box. "Seriously?" She asked and I nodded. She hugged me and I hugged her back. "I'm glad you like it." I mumbled to her. "Here, I think you'll love this one." Sadie decided and handed me a light box.

"Oh my god." I laughed when I pulled out the snoopy slippers I had gotten. I slid them on my feet and showed them off. "They look absolutely wonderful." Sadie commented and did a chefs kiss motion.

"Okay, this is the present I think you'll like the most." I explained to Sadie and picked up the box that had an air fryer in it. She unwrapped the paper and squealed. "Stop! This has to be a prank!" She told me. "It isn't! Open it!" I responded and put my hands up. She opened the box to find a real air fryer inside. I gave her a hug and she thanked me.

"Okay, this is the present you'll like most." Sadie told me and handed me a box. I unwrapped the present and saw a brown cardboard box. I opened the box and saw a bunch of soda cans. But they were Funko sodas. Stitch as Santa Funko sodas. "You're kidding." I laughed and she shook her head. I put them off to the side and decided to open them later. The cases work so that there are five regular ones and one chase. I'll open them later and give four commons to Charlotte, Jules, Sadie, and Jacey. I'll keep one of the commons and the chase obviously. So I have the set.

"Let's open the rest later when everyone comes over." I decided and Sadie agreed. She went to go get dressed and I decided to call Mum and dad.

"Merry Christmas!" I exclaimed when mum answered the phone. "Merry Christmas!" She responded. "How's Sadie?" Mum asked. "She's good! Her family is coming over for Christmas dinner." I told her. "That's fun!" Dad shouted. He definitely tried taking the phone from mum. "Are you having Charlotte over too?" Dad asked. "Yeah. Her and Jules. And then we're coming to London!" I explained. "Your mum can't wait. She made an itinerary for your entire trip." Dad informed me. "That sounds right." I mumbled. We soon had to hang up so we said our goodbyes.

I went to get dressed and then started working. I had to draft up an appointment schedule for the players for preseason. They need a checkup from me before they can play. I have to clear them, so I'm making a schedule of who goes when. It was too early to start working on Christmas dinner so I did that for an hour and then picked a Christmas movie to watch with Sadie.

When it was around one oclock I started prepping. I preheated the oven and started making the Mac and cheese. I was making chicken, Mac and cheese, and salad. For Sadie I made her a tofu stir fry. A wide assortment I know, but I'm making what everyone likes.

Eventually I had Sadie take over cooking duty while I got ready for dinner. I changed into some fancier clothes and then went back to preparing dinner. I took out the chicken and set it on the table before putting the Mac and cheese in the oven to cook. I finished off the tofu and set it down with the other ingredients for the stir fry and started working on that while the Mac and cheese is in the oven.

When dinner was finally all ready, people started arriving. First was Sadie's parents and Jacey. "Merry Christmas!" Sadie exclaimed and her sister ran into her arms. She hugged her mum and dad before Jacey ran into the living room and turned her attention on the movie that was playing.

"Michael! Merry Christmas!" Sadie's mum told me. "Merry Christmas to you as well." I told her and gave her a hug. I hugged her dad next and then Jacey finally noticed I was here. "Michael!" She screeched and ran over to hug me. "Jacey!" I called back and opened my arms out for her. I gave her a very big hug before she wanted to go back to the movie. I get it, the grinch is a really good movie.

Jules and Charlotte arrived next and brought wine with them. I hugged Charlotte and Jules before they went off to find Sadie. She couldn't be too far, it's not too big of an apartment.

"Did you talk to mum and dad?" Charlotte asked me and I nodded. "Yeah, they seemed very happy. I think they kinda like having Christmas to themselves." I theorized. "I'm sure they do, we were a little hyper every Christmas." Charlotte agreed. "Yeah, like that time you almost broke the Tv because you were trying on your new shoes while standing up and then fell back!" I reminisced whine laughing. "It wasn't my fault! They got my my first pair of high tops! How was I supposed to know they were hard to put on?" Charlotte argued. "You were ten! And you didn't even break it." I shrugged. "And you cried that same year because mum got you a signed Spider-Man Funko pop!" She brought up. "Tom Holland knew I existed! It was a cryable moment!" I defended. Sadie was letting Mitchell in the apartment while we were talking.

"Remember when dad refused to take any Christmas pictures because we dyed his hair green in his sleep?" I reminisced. "Stop! That was so funny! He was so mad!" Charlotte laughed. "And we got so grounded." I laughed. "And then mum couldn't get it out so dad cried on the phone to his hairstylist and complained that he looked like the grinch but hotter." Charlotte continued. "Yeah, we didn't need to hear that part." I commented.

Eventually we stopped reminiscing and I served dinner. "This is delicious!" Sadie's mum complimented. "Michael made all of this on his own." Sadie brought up. "Well thank you Michael! You did a wonderful job!" Sadie's dad thanked me.

After dinner, which lasted a very long time and had a lot of leftovers, we all gathered around the living room to exchange presents and watch a movie. I got a few presents and I think Jacey had the most. But she's still a kid so that makes the most sense.

Charlotte and Jules got me a watch, Sadie's parents gifted me some fancy chocolates, and I opened the rest of my gifts from Sadie.

"Why did you get me so many?" I exclaimed with a laugh while opened another case of funkos, this time with a grinch figure. "Cause you like those!" Sadie explained. I picked up another box the same size and just started at Sadie, who looked at me expectantly. "Stop!" I shouted when I saw another box of Funko sodas. This one was the misfit elephant from Rudolph. Everyone started laughing at me. "This is the third box!" I exclaimed. I put that box with the other soda boxes and handed Sadie another present.

"You got me!" Sadie exclaimed and held up the max Funko pop I got her. "It's kinda revenge for all the funkos you got me." I joked. "I love this, this is cool." She shared.

At around eleven everyone started to leave. Sadie's parents were first cause Jacey needed to go to bed. Then Mitchell, then Charlotte and Jules. "I think that was very successful." I commented and laid down in bed. "It was. Today was wonderful." Sadie agreed. "You are so opening those funkos tomorrow." Sadie told me and I nodded. "Okay." I agreed and yawned.

"Love you." I mumbled and spooned Sadie while falling asleep. She turned around to face me. "Love you too." She mumbled and we both fell asleep in each other's arms.
