(Y/n) POV:

The whole family was currently on the way to Charlottes high school graduation. We had like an entire row at the venue for everyone since so many people were coming. Michael finished his sophomore year of college early so he was able to come, and bring his girlfriend Sadie, who is also one of Charlotte's friends, with him.

Florence got a few days off from filming Dune, Chris and Jacqueline flew in from London and France, everyone was here. My brother Oliver and his family unfortunately couldn't make it.

Charlotte was already at the school so we were just meeting her there. She was the valedictorian too so she had her own speech and everything. Nobody had heard it yet so we all were excited to finally hear it.

We arrived at the school and took our seats and got program sheets. The graduation was going to start in a few minutes and most people were just talking to each other until it started. Michael was talking to Sadie and a few of his friends that had come for their siblings.

"Are you nervous?" Emma asked me after seeing my leg bouncing. "No, just excited. And maybe a little sad." I responded. Everyone stopped talking and the principal walked onto the stage.

She gave a speech about how all of the graduates were going to do great things and she was honored to have them. "And now, our valedictorian speech. I introduce to you all, this year's valedictorian, Charlotte Watson-(L/n)." The principal announced and everyone clapped as Charlotte made her way onto the stage.

"Good morning everyone. Thank you for coming to our graduation. I've been at this school all my life, from preschool to now. I have gotten to know all of my classmates and have made different memories and experiences with each one of them. Fellow graduates, I know you all will do great things and it was an honor to be your classmate." Charlotte started.

"I have had a lot of role models and inspiration during my time here. From teachers to students, I have looked up to numerous people here. But my ultimate inspiration comes from my best friends, the dazzling people from whom I received my name and my life's blood. (Y/n) (L/n) and Emma Watson. My parents never gave me any idea that I couldn't do whatever I wanted to do and be whomever I wanted to be, they filled our house with love and fun and books and music, unflagging in their efforts to give me role models, from my older brother Michael, to Florence Pugh, Jane Austen and Malala. As they guided me through these incredible eighteen years,  I don't know if they ever realized that the people I most wanted to be, were them." Charlotte continued.

I smiled at the mention and looked over to Emma to see her nearly in tears. I have to admit, I was almost crying too.

"I would be honored if I became anything like my parents. Like my mum who always encourages me to speak and stand up for myself and that I am a force to be reckoned with. Or my father who flew all the way home in the middle of his movie premiere in Japan just to comfort me when I experienced my first breakup. Or even my brother, my partner in crime, who played pranks on our parents with me and got us grounded for a month after putting pink hair dye in our dads shampoo, and who knows exactly how to make me smile when I'm down and makes the best homemade pizza and chicken noodle soup." Charlotte kept going.

"Thank you to all of my teachers. I wouldn't be here today without your guidance. I can't wait to start the next adventure." Charlotte finished. Everyone cheered and clapped for her and I gave her a standing ovation. "That's my daughter!" I shouted to all the parents. "And that's my sister!" Michael shouted.

The principal came back on stage and introduced a few other teachers to make speeches before they started giving out diplomas.

"Charlotte Watson-(L/n)." The principal called her up. Charlotte stood up from her seat and walked over to the podium to collect her diploma as we cheered. "You have officially graduated. Congratulations!" The principal told her and they shook hands and took a picture. Charlotte walked off stage and back to her seat next to her friend.

The ceremony was over a few minutes after that. Charlotte was one of the last ones since they went in alphabetical order by last name.

When Charlotte walked outside and saw us waiting for her she ran over to us and hugged me. "You were amazing. I am so proud of you." I told her while we hugged. "Thank you." She whispered while pulling away. Emma hugged her next and then Michael.

"That was awesome." Michael told her after they hugged. "Thanks." She smiled. "Only one of us got to be valedictorian." She added. "I guess. But I probably wouldn't have been a good valedictorian anyway." Michael shrugged. Charlotte hugged the rest of the family after that.

Charlotte went to go talk to some of her friends and teachers later on and left us by ourselves. She was having a graduation party later this week so she might be giving out last minute invites. Michael and Sadie were able to entertain themselves and went to talk to Michael's friends.

After we got enough pictures and Charlotte said her goodbyes to everyone we went back home. We were having a tiny celebration before going out to dinner. There was pizza, chips and cake. I couldn't be prouder of Charlotte.
