Vacation (3)

(Y/n) POV:
Todays activity on our vacation is doing a mountain hike. We all had the appropriate gear to go hiking and we had a guide to help us go up.

We got there bright and early and met up with our guide. We all exchanged hellos before getting some gear on and starting our trek. "So, where are you from?" The guide asked. "LA." I told her. "Really? I thought you sounded British." They shrugged. "We're from London but we live in LA." I clarified.

Michael and Sadie were walking ahead of us and holding hands. "Don't they remind you of us?" I whispered to Emma. "All the time." She nodded and smiled at the couple. Charlotte and Jules were walking a bit slower than us but they were pretty close by. I think they were just taking a lot of nature photos.

We spent an hour hiking before we took a water break and had some snacks. The guide told us about the history of the mountain and the people who live around it as we walked so it was like a lesson in nature.

"It's so hot up here." Charlotte panted while pouring some water on her face. "Baby, you're burning. Use this, it's really good." Sadie told Michael and handed him some sunscreen. Michael slathered it on his face before rubbing the sunscreen on his arms and legs. Once we were all covered in more sunscreen it was time to keep going.

Another hour and a half later we got to the top of the mountain. "We did it!" Michael cheered while looking at the view. Everyone drank some water and had a granola bar before taking pictures. Michael and Sadie were taking selfies with the view in the back while Jules and Charlotte were taking pictures of each other.

After a long walk down we got back in the car and rushed to the hotel to shower and go to the pool. When we got to the hotel and cleaned up a bit we went to the poolside restaurant and ordered some lunch. We got our food pretty fast and just made conversation about the rest of our trip.

"Tonight we're going to a hibachi place aren't we?" Michael asked and I nodded. "Yeah, it's going to be super fun." I told him. After lunch I went to go take a nap while everyone else went to the beach.

Charlotte POV:

Tonight was going to be super awesome. Aunt Flo is coming to surprise dad and he doesn't know. She told Michael first and then Michael told me and we planned the surprise for mum and dad.

"Okay, so I had an idea." Michael spoke up as we walked around the beach with our girlfriends. "Basically we have mum and dad sit behind the entrance to the restaurant and when Flo gets here we'll have them take a picture and she can be in it without them knowing. When we show them the photo Flo will be there and then they'll know." He explained. "That's a good idea!" Sadie responded. "Yeah, we just need to make sure that can happen." I nodded.

Michael POV:

We all went back to our hotel rooms to chill for the afternoon. Charlotte and I hung out in my room while Jules and Sadie went to the bar to get smoothies.

I was about to fall asleep when my phone went off. "You got a text." Charlotte informed me. "Who's it from?" I asked in case it was Flo. "Hot ginger? With a heart and a moaning emoji? Who is- oh my god. Michael!" Charlotte groaned. I was too tired to even say something to her. "I hope her contact name for you isn't something like that." Charlotte mumbled. "Her contact for me is like baby or bubs or something, I don't know. It's a pet name." I mumbled. "What did she say?" I asked. "Just if you wanted a smoothie because she's about to come back up here." Charlotte told me. I shook my head and I heard her typing back.

"Now can I take a nap?" I asked irritably. "Fine, if Flo texts I'll respond." Charlotte nodded. I closed my eyes and woke up a few hours later with just enough time before dinner.

I took a quick shower and got my dinner clothes on with just enough time to fix my hair. Sadie was all ready and was just sitting on her phone. "Are you ready?" She asked and stood up. "Yeah." I nodded. We took a few pictures in our outfits before going off to meet up with everyone in the lobby.

We got to the restaurant and sat down at a table far away from the window. We got some drinks and talked for a while before the chef came and started to cook our food. I texted Flo telling her to arrive now and now we wait.

"I have to go to the bathroom." I announced and stood up. "You didn't need to tell us that. You can just go." Dad told me and I nodded. I walked away and snuck over to the entrance when Mum and dad weren't looking. I saw Flo and ran over to her. We hugged for a minute and then I led her to mum and dad.

"Picture time! Say cheese!" Charlotte told mum and dad. They got closer to each other and smiled while Flo posed for the photo behind them. I got in the photo too and Charlotte smiled when she saw the photo. "Look at how cute it is!" Charlotte gushed and showed our parents the photo. Dad turned around instantly and jumped out of his seat. "Happy birthday!" Flo shouted and hugged dad back. "You came!" Dad shouted and hugged her tighter. "I wouldn't miss your birthday! And a free vacation!" Flo told him. We all hugged it out and sat down to finish our food.
