I don't exactly know how to put it but it is one of those situations where if I was in some weird anime or some shit I'd be clinging for dear life onto Rin's ankles begging that she won't forget all the things we went through together.
But on the other end, it feels super annoying having to sit next to Rin and having all these voices just next to me trying to ask what is what, how she is doing, and trying to recruit her into the girl group because it would be weird to be the only girl in a group of guys.
Who cares though. As long as Rin isn't freaking out and managing to smile despite the changes I guess that is the only thing I care about.
Then again this isn't much different from how it was because I am the friend that doesn't really want to go anywhere and only ever showed up because Rin used to drag me by the ankles everywhere because how dare I not be as social.
Blowing air through my lips I spot someone side next to me. "Your best friend has been taken from you and you are just going to sit and let it happen?"
"It sounds like you are getting offended for my sake."
"Maybe."
I lean back into my chair as I crack a smile. "You are probably one of the few people that is upset that Akarin has now turned into Rin."
Shutting her eyes she groans. "I liked him and now he is a girl and I am not into girls. The world is so cruel."
I then lift my hand. "I am into girls but she used to be a he and she is still my best friend."
"Not talking about you."
"Sorry I'll wait my turn then." I lower my gaze back to my table as I pull out my phone to scroll through social media only for her to continue with her rant.
"All these bitches never really liked him and I bet a lot of them are just waiting to put her in her place after all the times she... he? Fuck this is confusing."
"Yeah..." I then stop Nora. "Rin has a bullshit detector and it is always active the moment she realises they are just out to get her she is out of there or there will be a fight breaking out any moment right now."
"Right right." Then with a slight sigh. "At least Rin had you to get by. Even though I wouldn't have ever expected you to do much."
I look at her with a smile. "Same."
"Doesn't help that you don't do any effort to show that you aren't just a shut-in."
"Right?" Then with a scoff. "There aren't a lot of people here that I want to impress." I look back at my phone. "You wouldn't know much about me either because you were only around for Akarin and now that Rin is here this is the first time you are talking to me properly but the conversation is still about her."
"Hey-"
Interrupting her. "So you can't really say much about me if you never did the effort to know more about me. To me, you are no better than the girls talking to Rin right now."
