Sitting in class, one of the few classes that I don't share with Rin that I spend my time laying on my arms when we get some time to ourselves. Though despite laying on my arms I can hear someone walking up to me and settling in the seat next to me.
"Look at you able to please a woman."
I sigh, "What do you want from me, Alexi?"
"Just find it curious. If anything I thought you'd have gone through endless heartbreak trying to get with your best friend after seeing her being looked at by every single dude that thought he was a cool guy to hang out with."
I lift my head, "Weren't you helping them to get to her?"
She lifts her shoulders, "Was I?"
"Should I remind you about the last time I hung out with you?"
"Katelyn talks about it fondly."
"Doubtful."
"Hm mhm. Maybe she is just a bitch towards you because she tried to be a friend, that had a little crush on the silent guy in the class but your borderline incel behavior was showing so it kind of left a bad taste in her mouth."
I arch my brow at her, "That is pretty far-fetched."
"I know, but it is worth thinking about," she crosses her arms, "So? Are you going to tell me if the two of you are dating or not? Because I honestly can't tell."
"Why do you want to know?"
"So that I can spread nasty rumors about the two of you, see how they react and then move on from there."
I can't tell if she is being serious but this chick is pretty unpredictable, apart from the fact that she doesn't really attempt to hide what kind of person she really is when it is just the two of us. I'd just like it if she left me alone.
She then sighs, "Maybe I can tell Anthony to go and try his luck with her," she smirks at me a glare, "Oh? It is so obvious that you have a little crush that it makes me genuinely happy for you."
I let out a heavy sigh, "You are annoying to talk to."
"Aren't you happy that I don't hide behind a pretty smile?"
"Why does it matter?"
"Because if I did you would never talk to me, this is the type of person that appeals to you in a sad yet strangely interesting way. When it comes down to it the two of us are pretty alike in that manner. The way we hate large crowds, idiots that come off as standoffish."
I counter, "Difference is that I don't need to be a snake to deal with it."
"You just make yourself unapproachable. I get that."
I shake my head, "Leave Rin alone," I tell her.
"Protective?"
"If I have to punch a bitch, I will."
She snorts, "Good boy. I wasn't going to mess with you or your little girlfriend in the first place, but I wonder how this is going to look?" she leans in closer to me, to say in a whisper, "The two of us acting like good friends~"
I lay down on my arms, "Whatever makes you happy, Alexi.
"Goodbye~"
Annoying.
Incredibly annoying.

Heading towards where Rin parked her bike, she is already there with her bag resting against her legs. "Lovely day at school?"
