"Wow."
The building before Jeongguk's eyes is grand. Not only is the restaurant's building very big, it also looks breathtakingly beautiful.
The stone walls are golden of colour and the moonshaped entrance is made out of white marble, spotlessly clean and giving off an elegant vibe. All in all does the building give off an air of arrogance. And yet does it feel humble all the same.
Like a monarch without their crown.
Even the restaurant's surroundings are everything but ordinary, Jeongguk notices.
Although Kim Jimin did not take Jeongguk away from Seoul, this place gives one the illusion of being somewhere where people do not live; quiet, private, luxe yet romantic.
What's his deal taking me to a place like this?
Jeongguk focuses on the nameplate above the moonshaped doors, 'Crescent Paradise', is written in bold, cursive letters. Looking elegant and simple, yet with an air of ego. I am so out of place here... Jeongguk cannot help but think to himself.
"Shall we go inside?" Kim Jimin asks after a short moment. He allowed his companion to take in their surroundings for a few seconds, but now he wishes to seek warmth inside. "Best before we freeze, it is winter."
Jeongguk snaps out of his insecure thoughts and locks eyes with the older for a second, still feeling troubled. He was not born to dine at a place such as Crescent Paradise after all, what if he is refused at the door?
"Can I really go inside?" He asks. "This restaurant seems a bit too... how to say it? Flashy? For a person like myself, this kind of restaurant is too flashy."
Jeongguk feels too embarrassed to use the word 'expensive'.
Kim Jimin understands his troubles at once. He smiles reassuringly and pats Jeongguk's shoulder gently. "How can it not be alright? If I say you can go inside, there is not a soul who dares to say otherwise! Let us move." Kim Jimin then walks towards the doors, leaving Jeongguk to stare at his back dumbfounded. What does he mean? No matter how confused and surprised by the strangely confident words Kim Jimin keeps saying, Jeongguk is not yet ready to ask him about it. And thus he can only follow the older inside once his senses come back.
Kim Jimin is already waiting for him at the counter behind which a young woman in neat clothes confirms their reservation.
Looking up, Kim Jimin smiles as he sees Jeongguk come closer. "I was afraid you had already run away. Hungry? This place has good dishes."
Jeongguk nods. "I am." He admits. "And why would I run away? Only cowards do such a thing."
Kim Jimin chuckles amusedly. "You are right. Min San is far from cowardice."
Jeongguk scoffs jokingly, proudly agreeing to the older's words. "Of course!"
He fails to notice how the restaurant's staff tremble in anticipation upon the exchange of words between the two of them.
"Let us find our table, then?" Kim Jimin proposes, and Jeongguk simply nods before they follow a waitress to a private room upstairs.
