felix let out a sigh as he started his break from working on the counter, and collapsed in the booth where his best friend was working on a university assignment.

"gosh my feet are killing me."

jisung chuckled at his friend's dramatics as he softly petted his hair.

"well, at least you've had a good turn out today." the boy smiled as he gestured to the many students dotted around the cafe the younger worked at.

felix lifted his head, showcasing his prominent pout as he rested his chin on his fist.

"what is it with people at our university and this cafe?"

jisung gave him a look as he closed over his laptop and moved it to the side. "are you forgetting why you applied here? it's within walking distance from campus and has some of the best coffee and food around."

he amplified his point by gesturing down to his cheesecake and ice americano with a raised eyebrow.

felix only waved him off and was about to speak again when jisung gasped and grabbed his arm.

"ow sung wha-"

"felix!" he hissed "the most gorgeous man i have ever seen in my life is once again sitting over there."

felix followed his very obvious stare and let out an 'oh' as he looked at the boy.

the boy looked only a little bit older than the two of them. hair a dirty blonde as he was scrolling on his phone while holding the straw to an ice americano in the corner of his mouth.

"do you see him!?" jisung gawked as he turned back to his best friend with the biggest smile felix thought he'd ever seen.

"oh him? yeah he's here like every other day."

"what's his name!?"

felix shook his head. "unfortunately, i can't tell you that." he shrugged. "company policy."

"whattt!?" jisung whined "lix you have to tell me! he's even drinking an ice americano, what if he's my soulmate!?"

"you thought my coworker who served you chocolate cheesecake was your soulmate when you first came here."

"tsk" jisung scoffed as he rolled his eyes at felix.

"the man said 'perfect choice, that's also my favourite', how could i not!? but whatever-" he waved his hands as though it would make what he said disappear, "i know that man over there is my soulmate."

as jisung and felix looked over again, the mystery boy felt a stare and turned his head to their direction.

jisung, in the least subtle way possible, snapped his head back and moved felix's head so the were now both looking out of the window.

"...do you think he noticed?"

"sung, you're unbelievable."

the next day

jisung was sat in his usual spot. once again, he had a small slice of raspberry cheesecake and a half full ice americano in front of him.

however this time, instead of his assignment, the boy's attention was on the beautiful stranger who was back in his spot from the day before.

felix walked over to him, completely unnoticed.

he let out a scoff before snapping in front of the older's face, bringing him out of his stare.

"oh, hey lix." jisung greeted as he gave the boy one last glance before moving his attention to his best friend opposite him.

"you know, you're not very subtle when you stare." felix laughed as he took a sip of the drink he'd just made for himself before taking his break.
