after a long back and forth conversation with his parents, the plans that minho had made for the day had to have been slightly altered to adhere to the forgotten arrangements that had been previously made.

currently, minho was walking through his neighbourhood park with chan, hyunjin, and felix.

it would have been exactly as minho had planned, if there hadn't been an extra person currently walking at minho's side.

minjeong, minho's six year old sister.

at first, the four friends had expected her presence to be a slight disruption to their plans. however, it was quickly realised that minjeong was perfectly happy just to walk between the friends and be swung into the air every so often by minho and hyunjin who had tight hold of her hands.

the day was going great until the five reached the park's cafe which caused minho to freeze as his eyes landed on a particular person sat outside.

"one...two..." hyunjin grinned, swinging minjeong's hand with each number.

almost immediately hyunjin had brought minjeong's hand back to his side as he'd realised minho's mind was elsewhere.

by no means was hyunjin about to be held responsible for accidentally launching a six year old into the air.

"heyyy," minjeong gently called, pouting as she looked up at hyunjin and wiggled his arm. "hyunjinnie, why did you stoppp!?"

"minho?" hyunjin asked, gaining the attention of chan and felix who had turned round from being slightly ahead.

"u-um, i don't think we should go the cafe." minho nervously smiled, taking his hand from his sister's to awkwardly brush back his hair. "we can get drinks at home, it's fine. no need to go over there. nope...no need at all."

felix narrowed his eyes, trying to read minho before he looked over at the cafe.

as his eyes landed on the person he could guess had stumped minho, his lips formed a grin before he turned back to minho with his eyebrows raised.

"uh-huh." felix nodded, crossing his hands over his chest. "this wouldn't have to do with a particular boy sitting over there would it?"

"who?" minjeong asked, looking up at her brother with a confused expression.

"no one, jeongie." minho dimssed, trying to convey to his friend to stop speaking with his eyes. "no one is over there."

"oh sureee~" chan chimed in, holding a teasing smile as he too had realised the boy currently sat outside the cafe. "so the certain red haired boy with chunky headphones on his ears, currently scribbling down in a notepad, has nothing to do with you wanting us to go home right now?"

"no." minho spoke through gritted teeth as he looked around to see all three of his friends currently smiling at him.

"what about the boy over there?" minjeong currently asked, tilting her head at her brother as she tugged on his shirt to grab his attention.

"nothing, jeongie." her brother dismissed as he bent down to gently pat her hair. "everyone's being weird."

"minho likes the boy over there~"

"-no!" minho interrupted, jumping back up as he glared at the three boys collectively. "minho does not like the boy over there!"

"oh you so do." chan laughed. "you stare at him every day in school and almost forget how to function as a human-being when he so much as smiles at you!"

"and that's even if he doesn't look at you, but just in your general direction." hyunjin tagged on, folding his arms as he gave minho a look.

minho scoffed, simultaneously rolling his eyes at them. "liars."
