today was jeongin's initiation into the gang 'jutdae'.

changbin and chan, the two joint leaders of jutdae, had saved jeongin from being jumped as the seventeen year old had accidentally wandered onto their gang's territory.

after confessing that he had been kicked out of his home and completely disowned by his family, jeongin had been offered the choice of joining jutdae in favour of being perceived as a 'stray kid'.

immediately, jeongin had accepted and was now on his way back to see the gang's residence for the first time.

both leaders had assured jeongin that he would very quickly feel a sense of belonging and comfort as many members had been found in a similar way. the assurance did much to satisfy jeongin's nerves as he was very excited to finally feel some form of acceptance he never had while at home.

jeongin had no idea what to prepare for as chan pushed open the doors of the mansion. so, it was no surprise that he jumped the second he heard footsteps rushing down the stairs that were nearest to the door.

a boy, with a mixed grey and blue hair colour, came into view, an immediate groan followed suit after his eyes had scanned over the people who had just arrived.

"relax, ji."

"don't tell me to relax, chan." jisung snapped with a scowl. "tell me you at least saw him."

"nope." chan clicked his tongue as he gave a small shrug of sympathy.

"i am going to fucking kill that man myself." jisung huffed, instantly turning around and hurrying back up the stairs where the slam of a door quickly followed.

"um..." jeongin cleared his throat as he looked at the older two. "what was that about?"

"oh, that's jisung. he woke up this morning to find that minho had left without telling him where he was going. he soon found out the reason, and now he's waiting for minho to get home."

"oh..." the youngest mumbled under his breath before pinching his eyebrows together. "should i be worried for what might happen tonight?"

changbin tilted his head with a gentle yet confused expression. "in what way?"

"you know..." he chewed on his lip before continuing. "you guys don't like..fight..or anything, right?"

"oh," chan laughed as he clapped his hand onto jeongin's shoulder. "let's just say, you'll pick up on their one of a kind dynamic very quickly."

it was almost eight hours later when the front door opened again.

coincidentally, chan and changbin had recently began giving jeongin a tour of the house and had just ended up back at the foyer in time to see minho quietly close the door behind him.

"oh wow." chan couldn't help but smile as he looked over minho's state. "jisung might not have been kidding when he said he'd kill you when you came home."

to put it simply, minho looked as though he'd been through at least eight street fights. his knuckles were bloody and borderline purple, while his face held countless cuts and a forming bruise under his right eye.

"yeah, yeah." minho dismissed, wincing slightly as he rolled his arm back with an audible pop. "is he upstairs?"

chan and changbin nodded while jeongin stayed completely still.

"oh hey," minho smiled at the youngest before lightly scoffing to himself. "i'm sorry i can't exactly greet you properly, but i think i've left my boyfriend for enough time already."
