"You are what?" Park Jay asked, walking up and down Jinah's bedroom, quite shocked as to why his best friend had called him over. "I'm going on a date" Jinah said and stopped petting Robin to look up at Jay.
"And you only tell me now?", the Aries/Taurus cusp born yelled. Jinah chuckled. "I had a lot on my plate lately" she said and pouted. "Listen, Jay, I need your help" she looked at Jay, who only sighed.
"You should've told me about that disaster with Namsoo, Jin" he said and Jinah looked down. "I know, JJ. But I know how busy you are with learning your dad's business I didn't wanted to annoy you."
"You never annoy me." Jay looked at her. "Does Namsoo know about this date?" Jinah shook her head. "I don't plan on telling her yet" she said. "She wasn't that keen on Ja— the boy I'm seeing." Jay furrowed his brows. "Is it your co-worker?", Jay asked and watched the expression on Jinah's face change.
"Jackpot" grinned Jay and sat down on Jinah's bed. He looked at his best friend. She looked happy and was glowing and there was no way in hell he would ruin this for her. He loved Jinah way too much to say something about her über-excited, Golden Retriever-type of co-worker. As long as he made her happy, everything was okay.
And Jay had to admit that Jinah had looked majorly sad, unhappy and unhealthy lately. She had lost a lot of weight, and even if Jinah thought Jay didn't knew, he knew. He quickly realized that Jinah was struggling with disordered eating and wanted to help her any way of form.
He just didn't know how.
But ever since Jinah had met this Jake Sim her eating behaviors have changed. She wasn't starving herself anymore. Jay was happy that he could see Jinah eat again.
He didn't know of the binging and purging yet. And this was something he couldn't guess, because Jinah started being very good in hiding whatever food-related issues she had. She was clever enough, not to excuse herself to the bathroom as soon as dinner finished. She waited for times where it wouldn't be as obvious.
Jinah started to be sneaky around the bathroom. She even purchased laxatives to help her loose the weight she gained due to "normal" eating.
"What are y'all doing on your date?", asked Jay and Jinah pursed her lips. "Jake said we're going to visit a dog café and then go to an Arcade or something." She smiled. "Something easy-going and relaxing" she chuckled, when she remembered the itinerary Jake had send her.
