** three days later Both Maya and Carina are off work for the whole weekend. Carina is still feeling half reassured and half extremely scared of loosing her wife on duty, Carina is in the shower and Maya entered the shower and gave her wife's back kisses everywhere**

Friday September 20 th
** the kids are on a pedagogical day, and uncle Andrew is going to take all five kids for the whole weekend so Carina and Maya reconnect with each other kids free **

Maya: good morning my love!
Carina: good morning Bambina!!
Maya: you know i could kiss you all day today totally naked...
Carina: hmmm ! As much as I would love that, don't think that because you are seducing me although I'm loving it. while I'm totally naked, you can't escape the discussion we had on the hospital floor Tuesday morning!
Maya: hmmm ! I know, but i don't know how or what else I can do to reassure you that I'm being extremely careful while on the job ...

**Carina turns around facing her wife**
Babe, let's put it this way, what if the roles were reversed and I was a firefighter and you were an obgyn! And I told you that i was being as much careful as I could be, how would you feel about that?
Maya: i understand that babe ! I really do!
**Carina raised her voice just a little **

**Carina takes several deep breath and calms down**
Im sorry i raised my voice but I'm legit scared every day you go to work..
Maya: okay... I'm sorry i chose a dangerous job my love!
Carina: it's okay...  i have to get going, all the kids are going to be spending the weekend with uncle Andrew and Sammy and then we can be totally naked!!
Chloe: momma we are ready!!
Lorenzo: Yeah ! Come on Violet I'll help you put your little sandals on!

Scarlett : yes please!
Alessandro: momma can i have some momma milk before we go bye-bye?
Carina: yes of course you can! Let me put on a little dress on and I'll be downstairs in a few!

** a few minutes later Carina came downstairs to breastfeed her little one year old son before they go have fun at their uncles house **

**Suddenly Carina remembered something that she have blocked out her memory for the past three years **

Maya, babe?
Maya: yeah my love?
Carina: did you somehow videotape the moment i did the ultrasound the day we found out that Violet and Scarlett were going to be one hundred percent identical?
Maya: hmmm i think I did yes ! Why?

Carina: okay! I really have to go ... but while I go drop off the kids at my brothers would you mind pulling up the video! I feel like I missed something during this day ... it's hard to explain in words but I'll know when I'll see it .
Maya: yeah sure ! I'll go get the video camera out and ready for when you return!

** 20 minutes later Carina comes back home from dropping her kids off at Andrew's house. Maya was waiting for her wife to get back home, the twins 6 months of pregnancy ultrasound up and ready to hit play **

Carina: okay I'm back ** she came in and wore her slippers in her feet and closed the front door and came to sit down next to her wife and pressed play"

Maya: did everyone get out okay? No crying??
Carina: oh they practically got out of their car seats while I was pulling in the driveway! They were so excited to see uncle Andrew and "auntie Sammy" !
Maya: well that's good! Okay babe! You haven't told me why you suddenly wanted to see their ultrasound?
Carina: okay... it's because i think... i know it might sound crazy but I think... i lost a baby...
**Maya extremely confused **
What? You didn't... we have both of the twins babe!
Carina: siiii , i know.... But you didn't let me finish my sentence lovey!
Maya: sorry go ahead!!
**Carina whipped tears out of her eyes **
Like I was saying.. seee on the screen right there? Oh and I performed that ultrasound when i was 4 months pregnant....
Maya: that little blob ?
Carina: siii.
Maya: okay but how would that be possible?
Carina: you sound extremely surprised by the fact that... women can carry triplets....  that I could have carry ....
Maya: come on baby! I know women can carry more than twins!
Carina: okay! Well uuhhh ! It's slowly coming back to me now, I was about 4 months pregnant with the triplets.. and I had some unexpected bleeding and I thought I was going to lose all of them ... and you rushed me to the hospital afterwards to confirm the loss of the third one....
Maya: hmmm ! Baby it's not your fault!
Carina: i had triplets... that's THREE !! I can't even say it out loud.  *** heavy tears running down her face uncontrollably **
** then Carina fast forward the birthing video up until the very end where we see their placentas ...**
Carina: babe! What is that??
Maya: what is what?
Carina: right there.... ** she points to the THIRD UMBILICAL CORD of what would have been the girls FRATERNAL TRIPLET**
Is that the..... umbilicals cords ?
Maya: I .... I guess it is yea!
Carina: okay so I wasn't completely crazy... I did carry TRIPLETS??
Maya: I ...
Carina: wait what were you talking about here with Addison?? ** she raised the tv volume up **
Maya: is that the undeveloped baby's umbilical cord?
Addison: it would be extremely difficult to say that it's something else then a third umbilical cord .... From my expertise yeah that's what it is...
Maya: ohhh okay!  But how did she get the third baby out without losing the twins?
Addison: it's uhh ... sometimes when a fetus heartbeat stops beating, they eventually detach themselves and then the mother usually have it pass when she goes to the bathroom... but goes unnoticed because the fetus isn't even resembling like a baby...
Maya: okay.... But does she know?
Addison: I think she does know but understandably blocked it out of her memory. ...

** Carina was understandably in shock about the other fetus **
Maya : what are you thinking about my love?
*Carina sobbing **
I ... don't know... I'm thinking of what our lives would be like with TRIPLETS! I would definitely have gotten a c- section...
Maya: you don't know that... ** she gently rubs her hands on Carina's legs trying to calm her down **
Some ladies naturally deliver triplets vaginally... you recently delivered triplets naturally a couple of months ago no?

Carina: yea but that's different because it wasn't me !
Maya: okay, I understand that.. but everything happens for a reason.
Carina: I'm sorry for being emotional about a child that we never got to meet!
This is all my fault.. I wasn't careful enough with that pregnancy... remember I was ready to go into a fucking burning part of the hospital to see if Jo and Amelia were okay! Hell that was even after I lost the triplet ... cause I was SIX MONTHS pregnant then !

Maya: hey ! It's okay... none of this is your fault my love! Shhhhh ! It's going to be okay! We have five wonderful healthy and perfect children... we are both healthy! We have to focus on the positive things babe, if this third baby didn't make it like Violet and Scarlett did , then it's because God knew that it was too sick and it would have been a extra charge on our shoulders...
**Carina lifted her head up from her wife's shoulders**
Right , but still it hurts having the confirmation of another child or blob that could have been part of our family!
Maya: ohhhh honey, it was part of our family... for four months... thats 16 whole weeks ... and you were the lucky one who got to carry them ! And no one is going to take that away from you my love. NEVER !!
Carina : hmmmm ! Okay! Thank you for always knowing what to say Bambina!
Maya: anything for you my extremely sexy wife!
Carina: kiss me ...
Maya: oh im obviously going to!!
