**James and Andy left the kids with James mom so they could go to Andy's unexpected yet necessary hospital appointment. Andy is hunched into a ball clenching her stomach and she keeps wanting to throw up every few minutes **

Andy: okay... can I get a sip of water please baby!
James: yes of course mi amor !
** he gave her her water bottle and puts his hand on her shoulders rubbing her upper back **
Everything is going to be alright!
Andy: what is taking Carina so long?

Carina: umm Andrea Herrera? Please come with me !
Andrea: oh thank goodness!!
**James followed Andy in a room! **
Andrea : Carina please figure out what it going on with me !
Carina: I will Andy , don't worry!
So lay down on the bed please!
Andy: yea !!
Carina: when did you began feeling sick?
James : uhh she started December 27 th and we at. First thought it was food poisoning from the Christmas buffet! But then she said she kept feeling extremely sick ! And she
Carina: right! Have you eaten anything?
James: She's been trying to but can't seem to keep anything down!
Andrea : yea , I looked up what foods can make you feel better when you have a upset stomach and the internet said to eat salty crackers and drink soft drinks but it doesn't seem to help !
Carina: okay... I'll perform a ultrasound on your stomach just to rule out a few things!!
Andrea: okay thank you!
** Carina may have an idea of why Andrea has been feeling sick but doesn't want to say anything before performing an ultrasound **

Carina: okay... it's not your appendix ...
Andrea: okay so what could it be?
Carina: well I'm getting there, ** she slightly chuckles **
Are you still breastfeeding Mila
Andrea: yes I am
Carina: okay that's totally fine! I did until the twins were three years old! And I'm only feeding Alessandro and he's going to be two in august
Andrea: okay so what could it be?
Carina: when was your last period?
Andrea: uhhhh I don't remember really, but I never been regular...
Carina: okay ... so I've ruled out everything that could be fatal but umm I think I know what is making you sick....
Andrea: okay. What is it ? ! ** she paused and thought for a few minutes **
Am I ?? Pregnant??
Carina: siiii !! You are indeed pregnant! Congratulations to you both!!
Andrea: No way !!
Carina: yes , look I'll show you the monitor screen
** she moves it closer so Andy and James could see**
See , that's your baby's heartbeat... and the head is measuring fine !
Andrea; how far along am I ?
Carina: you are officially one month in .. five weeks max !! And you have been sick because it's the morning sickness! It's totally normal and should definitely be going away in the second trimester.
Andy: okay ** happy tears are coming down her face extremely fast **
That was the last thing on my mind really!!
Carina: it's totally normal...
Andrea: okay thank you so much Carina!
Carina: if you want I can be your obgyn?
Andy: ohhh yes please!!
Carina: okay perfect! So I'm going to schedule you for your next appointment in one month from today! February 17 th same time?
James: okay that's great! So she should stop feeling sick soon?
Carina: yes ! But you might continue experiencing morning sickness but it's a good thing Andrea... you are growing a new little human inside you ... so don't be alarmed with the morning sickness... drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest.

Andy : well thank youuu soooo much I feel stupid for not knowing that I was pregnant...
**Carina puts her hand on her friends ankles **
Hey hey , it's okay... Andrea, everything is going to be okay!!
James : so umm when is the baby supposed to be here?
Carina:  right... your due date is estimated to be around September 22nd ! But it can be after or before!! But I'll totally be there for you.
Andy: okay.... I think I'd love to have a home birth!!
Carina: yea, excellent! We can make it happen! Remember I had chloe at home!
Andy: yea I remember! That's why I want to try one!
Carina : excellent! 
Andy : okay thank you sooo much ! Baby help me up please!
**James held up his hands and gently pulled up his wife and they both headed back home **

At home:
Andy : I'm extremely relieved that I am pregnant and not having other major health issues like Ughh I don't know... appendicitis or  pancreatic cancer or stomach cancer... aye aye !!
James: yea me too!! Ughhh I fucking love you soooooo much!
Andrea; I love you too babe!!! I can't wait to tell Spencer and Mila !!
James: they are going to be so excited
Andrea : siiiii !

** James and Andy didn't do much for the rest of the day until they had to pick up their kids from daycare! Andy and James told their oldest children that they are going to have another baby... they were obviously very very happy and excited for the new sibling . Andy and James don't want to know what they are having. As long as baby is fine and healthy it's all that matters. They all had a wonderful dinner , a Cesar salad with leftover vegetables and pieces of chicken and Andy read them a bedtime story and they cuddled up together in Andy's and James bed , James eventually transferred each kids into their own room **
