**Maya is starting her new job as a nine one one operator this morning! She's a little anxious but she knows it's the best option for her in order to be safe and come back home from work every night for her wife and children, but also for her**

The kids are heading to school, Violet, Scarlett and Alessandro are all ready to go to daycare... Maya was still asleep so Carina got everyone ready and she's headed out to daycare.. Maya woke up around 8 h and got ready for work !
9h20 am
Maya: Hi , nine one one what's your emergency?
Lady : hi I'm I've accidentally left my two year old daughter locked in the car with her nine year old autistic brother and I'm signaling him to unlock the door but he doesn't understand what I'm trying to say ... help me please please!!
Maya: okay I know it's stressful but I'm sending you a police officer your way
Lady : okay I'm on the parking lot of a nail salon and a corner store and I've just left to go buy Gatorade for my kids and I guess the doors automatically locked up!
Maya: okay! On what street is the corner store at ?
Lady : uh it's on PINE TREE LANE AND ITS ACROSS WOODENCONE STREET!!
Maya: alright they are on their way ... five minutes away..
lady: I'm such a horrible person!!
Do you have any kids?
Maya: you are not a horrible person! Yes I do , I have 5 kids, and two of them are four years old twins and they are wild !! ! It's okay! We do some mistakes but we learn everyday ! Everything is going to be fine!
Lady : okay I see the police cars coming! Thank youuu so much again for your help!! I don't know how I could ever repay you
Maya: okay good! You don't have to repay me , just do your best that you can for your kids and never give up !
Lady : okay thank youuu!!
Maya: you are welcome
** That lady hung up the phone **
**Sylvie Brett is Maya's coworker **
Sylvie : umm hi , I don't think we've met ! I'm Sylvie Brett !
Maya: hi I'm Maya bishop Deluca!
Sylvie: im so impressed by the way you handled that woman !
Maya: ohhh I've seen worse in my life trust me !
Sylvie: ohhh ! What did you do before this job?
Maya: uhh I was a firefighter for the Seattle department for a decade or so ,
Sylvie : alright! Why the career change if you don't mind me askin?
Maya: uh for my family's safety! I didn't want my kids or wife to live on without me !
Sylvie: awesome!! What does she does for a living?
Maya: she's an obgyn at Greys Sloan Hospital!
Oh and I hope I didn't make it awkward when I said " wife" !
Sylvie : ohhh please ! You totally didn't! I've had friends who were gay ! So we are totally cool!
Maya: alright. Thank youuu
**Sylvie is showing the office space to Maya , the break room the bathroom the cafeteria and the lockers etc and they walk passed A pretty tall blonde woman ! Her name is Leslie Shay , she's a paramedic and she is pretty cool! **
Sylvie: any questions Maya?
Maya: No , everything is clear ,
Sylvie: ohhh Maya meet our paramedics Leslie Shay !
Maya : nice to meet you!
Leslie : hi Maya! Nice to meet you too !
Maya: so um how long have you been a paramedic in Seattle?
Leslie : ohhh not for long, I got transferred here from Chicago where I was a paramedic there for 7 years I believe!
Maya: ohh cool !
Leslie: yeah ! I heard you were à Seattle firefighter until now... may I ask why you aren't a firefighter anymore?
Maya: yeah sure , umm well for many reasons, I got demoted ON MY WEDDING DAY from Captain to lieutenant because I "broke protocol " because I didn't wait for backup or something... but a kid's life was on the line so I chose to save the kid's life instead of waiting for " approval" , aye aye , and umm because my wife and I have five adorable children and they need me to be here for them , so therefore I - we decided that it would be much safer option for me to become a nine one one operator! So In a way I'm still helping others! Oh and my demotion wasn't even treated fairly because I'm a woman !
Leslie : Woah ! That really sucks ! I'm sorry you got demoted! And on your wedding day ughh ! That's even worse ! What does your wife do for a living?
Maya: she's a obgyn at Greys Sloan Memorial hospital and she's the cutest kindest most loving person I ever met and I'm so lucky to call her my wife !
Sylvie: yeah demotions are unfortunate! Woah sexism at its finest!
Maya: yeah tell me about that!
** all three women laughed **
Sylvie: well anyways welcome to our team !
Leslie : yea we are a pretty cool family and we get treated equally here! I can't wait to meet your family! If you want to present them to us obviously!
Maya: yeah one day for sure!

Leslie: ohhh that's me ! Got to run ! Where is Gabby !!
Kelly Severide : she's out... Louis has a doctors appointment that she couldn't prospone anymore!
Leslie: right shittt !
Stella : I'll be riding with you today!
Hiii Maya! Sorry we can't right now... you seem pretty cool!
Maya: yea no go I understand!
Kelly : Hmm so you are the Maya ? Everyone been talking about huh?
Sylvie: Ohhh my! Kelly ! Don't be matcho !
Kelly : what?
Maya: yea I guess that's me ! I hope youuu only heard good stuff ahah !
Kelly : Sylvie, you could of warned me that she was THIS HOT ?
**Sylvie and Maya both laughed **
Sylvie : sorry i DIDNT know you wanted a warning!
Maya: hi Kelly ! It's pretty nice to meet you ! I think I'm going to love this place!
Sylvie : ohhh yeah it's pretty welcoming here! Ohhh shoot our phones are going off we better get to it!
Maya: right!!
