Two months later
Monday June 12 th 2016
**Andy is now 9 months pregnant and two days before her due date, she is extremely uncomfortable and from what Carina told her contractions feel like your stomach is pushing the baby out! **

James : another contraction mi amor
Andy : yeah! It fucking hurts !!! Owwwww ! How the fuck did Carina did this four times AND SHE EVEN GAVE BIRTH TO TWINS NATURALLY!!
James : yea... that must have been hard work! But you are doing such a good job Andy! Breathe !
Andy: I. Don't know how much longer I can do this without Carina! ** as she now switched positions from laying on her back to laying on her side ! It apparently worked **
James : I can massage your shoulders and back!
Andy: oh yes that would be a wonderful idea thank you! How are you so calm ?
James : okay... I don't know.. I did think I would freak out, but I'm believing that everything is going to be alright! And when the contractions are getting soooooo intense I'll call Carina!
Andy : hrmmmmm owwwwwww ! Okay but should I go to the hospital??
James: what did Carina suggest? And do you want me to film the birth?
Andy : she said it was my decision to decide but she prefers to have me go to the hospital.... But if there isn't time then she's going to meet us home! But apparently when the contractions are 5 minutes apart, lasting one minute for one hour then it's best to go to the hospital! I mean I guess we could yeah!
James: okay!! I will time them when you tell me to ! I will go get the video camera, hold on! And breathe if you have a contraction while I'm gone ! I'll be back in a few minutes
Andy: okay thank you baby for being so supportive!!
James: my pleasure. Ouhhh but what will I do if I'm filming the birth and you want to hold my hands?
Andy: hrmmm let's ask your mom or something!! Ughhhhh ! I don't know!!
THREE DAYS LATER
THURSDAY JUNE 15 2016
** Andy has been having some Braxton Hicks contractions since Monday, she has called Carina several times, and they both agreed that it would be much safer and practical if Andy went to the hospital to have her baby, they made it to Greys Sloan Memorial Hospital!! **

**Carina came in Andy's room to see how it's going. James mom MaryAnne is coming in the room and she will be filming the birth so James can be by his wife's side**
✊Knock knock ✊
Andy: hrmmmm come in !
Carina: hi Andy, how is the pain ?
Andy: well things are definitely going... she is heading down.. at least I think!
Carina: okay, well I'll do a quick ultrasound right now to check on your baby girl!
James : okay!
Andy: perfect! I seriously don't know how you did it four times! AND WITH TWINS !
Carina laughs
Ohhh , you are doing such a wonderful job, trust me
Do you want an epidural?
Andy: I don't know... maybe—- would it make me a wuss if I have one!
*Carina confused by the term **
A wuss ? I'm no really familiar with American idioms
James: oh , she means that would she be considered a whimp . Not as strong as a woman who have a baby naturally without a epidural!
Carina: ohhhh Herrera honey, of course you are not going to be considered a whimp, remember how I was.. I wanted to give up with every birth ...
Andy: yea , but you made giving birth so easy !
**Carina laughs **
Ohhh ,
James: did you get a epidural with any of your labour and deliveries ? , if you don't mind me asking!
Carina: oh I totally don't mind you asking, yes I did , I had one with my twins, one of them was breeched!
James: see baby, you don't have to be ashamed to have an epidural!
Carina: exactly, we want you to have a positive birth experience, and if getting you the epidural is what it takes.. then we are definitely going to give you the epidural!
Andy: okay!! Ahhhhhh. Owwwww !!!
Carina; I'll wait until your contraction is over and I'll check your cervix

**James mom MaryAnne came in just in time because things are going to be intense from now on**
Knock knock
James : oh that's my mother! She's going to be filming every thing , come in mom
MaryAnne : hiii , oh I'm in the middle of the exam ?
Carina: ohh it's fine ! I'm actually going to go check on my other patients in a while!
MaryAnne : okay, you are doing such an excellent job Andrea!
**Janes gives the video camera to his mom and stays by Andy's side **
**Andy nods still contracting **
{Two minutes later}
Okay that contraction is gone
Carina: okay, can I check you really quick
Andy : yeah!
Carina : okay.... So you are at a 2 almost a 3 !
Andy : oh okay don't send us back home please,
Carina: yea I know, I wasn't going to ! Do you want to try going in the tub?
Andy : yeah I would.
Carina: okay perfect, it really really helps with the contractions
Andy; yeah I remember you saying that
** Carina and James both helped Andy into the bathroom and into the tub**
Andy: do I take off my bra?
Carina : it honestly depends on each mother, it did help me to get the contractions more closer together, with nipple stimulation.
Andy: ohhh okay,

Carina came back in to check on Andy's progress.
Andy : Carina, it fucking hurts ahhhhh ouhhhh owww!! ** she is now in the frog position, still in the bathtub, with her legs spread open **
Carina ; yeah I know but you are doing such a good job Andy,
Andy: I want her ouuuuuuuuuut ! Noooooow ! Ahhhh ! Why is it us ladies who have to go to the excruciating process of getting pregnant, giving birth?
Carina: because god knew we were strong enough to go through the whole process, and trust me when this little bundle of joy is here you really really forget about all of the pain!
Andy: hrmmmm I highly doubt that
Carina: when did your first real contractions start?
Andy : I think at 3h 30 this morning
James; yeah that's when she said they are five minutes apart... and the. At 7 h this morning they had been five minutes apart, lasting one minute for an hour!
Carina: excellent! The five one one rule is the very best indicator!
You are doing this like a champ , eight hours in,
Andy: how much longer do you think until she's here?
Carina: Ughh it literally depends on her. It's really hard to know for sure
But keep breathing like that with each one you are bringing her closer to having her in your arms,
James: is it true that the first labour is longer than let's say your second or third child
Carina: yeah unfortunately it is, with my first baby Chloe I was in labour for four days.
Andy: ouhhhhhh ! Hopefully she won't have me go through this for four days!
Carina: don't worry it will be at worth it!
Andy: yeah I know!
