December 17th ~ All I Want For Christmas
Presents under the tree wrapped beautifully
Stockings over the fireplace, filled to the top with so many treats
Lights hung everywhere twinkling bright
Lighting up the starry sky each night
Tons of food in the kitchen - all gifts from friends
Kindness at Christmas truly never ends
It's all very lovely and looks so beautiful
But to Susan that's not what matters
She doesn't care about bags or boxes with ribbons
Or how high you can fill a stocking
No gift can mend the tear in her heart
Because nothing inside will be what she wants
She sits alone by the fire wishing her family was beside her
What's the point of Christmas if you have nobody to share it with?
This year Susan only has one wish
All she wants is a family to spend Christmas with
