Three months. Harry had been in a coma for three months. It wasn't his fault, it was Vernon's. He had beat the poor boy so badly, but the icing on the cake was the vodka bottle to the head. Immediately knocked him out, but kept him like that for months.

Draco had gone crazy, secretly, in those three months. He threw away his few months of progress and gone back to his only source of coping.

He kept it a secret, and hid it well. Not even Dobby noticed how badly Draco was doing. If he was sad, people just assumed it was because of Harry, and didn't look into it.

Maybe, he told himself, if one single person asked him how he was coping with Harry being in a coma, he would've been honest. Maybe he would've gotten help, but he didn't, because he hid it too well.

Draco became the cold, emotionless, guarded Malfoy he used to be before he got close with Harry. He hid everything, made fun of everyone and acted like a massive cunt. He even pushed away Pansy and Blaise so they wouldn't realise how bad it was.

Because it was. It was really bad.

In the few years Draco suffered from bulimia, he never let it get this bad. For the first month, it was constant binging, daily. He blacked out most nights instead of going to sleep, warm in his bed. For the second month, he spent a majority of it starving himself. For the third month, it was both.

Starve from Monday to Saturday, eat everything on Sunday, purge at night and repeat the cycle. He was just barely living off of gum and water during the week. And no one noticed, because he shut out everyone.

How could he not? Harry was his rock, his support system. He was Draco's boyfriend, his love, his soulmate. For Harry, he would've done anything.

He would do anything to trade places with his boyfriend. Hell, if it meant he could live, Draco would trade his life. Anything was better than having Harry Potter in a coma in hospital, whilst Vernon Dursley sat home, snug as a bug in a rug, knowing he almost killed his nephew.

Draco came over a lot, to steal Harry's clothes or sleep in his bed. Dudley let him in every time, because he was the person who saw how vulnerable Draco was. In his six years of knowing the boy, he'd never seen him cry, and all of a sudden he was bawling his eyes out, holding the boy he loved's almost dead body.

Dudley couldn't imagine his hurt, but he felt his own. When he got home from the hospital, he raided his cousin's room and took everything potentially dangerous and set them on fire. Everything. He wasn't gonna let Harry hurt himself any more after that.

On multiple occasions, Dudley considered it- doing what Harry did to himself. But every time he got close, he stopped himself, imaging Harry's heartbroken face if he found out. He blamed himself: for letting Crabbe and Goyle into his house, for listening to them and for never helping Harry out when it came to his dad.

I should've done better. He told himself.

Dudley knew that if the roles were reversed, Harry would've taken care of him as much as he could. Harry would try to stop anything from happening, and would never have personally hurt Dudley too. Harry was a saint, an angel, and Dudley took part in cutting off his wings.

He would want you to check up on Draco and be there for him.

He tried. Dudley really tried, but Draco shut everyone out. Just because Dudley let him into his house, didn't mean Draco let him into his heart. He seemed heartless to everyone. Dudley knew he was struggling, but his knowledge changed nothing.

Draco was still cold towards everyone.

Dudley had taken a special interest in Draco for the three months Harry was in a coma. He noticed that Draco had very strange eating habits, and he couldn't quite figure out what the blond was doing to himself. He also noticed how Draco isolated himself.

At the same time, he noticed how pretentious Draco was. He seemed incredibly okay, and incredibly not at the same time. Dudley was completely, utterly lost. He didn't know how to help Draco, or what he needed help with.

Draco noticed Dudley's attention being on him about a week after Harry was in a coma. He was very observant, and very alone, so noticing someone notice him was easy. He pretended to be fine in front of Dudley, and though he was seemingly stupid, he was not.

The two knew how bad it had been for both of them, yet it was never talked about. It was an unspoken agreement that Draco would suffer in silence and Dudley would do nothing about it.

It almost went too far.

I'll be with you soon, Harry.
