The house phone rang as I groaned in my sleep, can they not?
I groggily got up and went to the telephone, "hello, family of Mr Mathew Davidson?"
"Yes I'm his sister," my voice cracked as memories of last time consumed me.
"We wanted to ask you to come to the hospital, we have a good news," she said cheerfully.
I sighed in relief as a few seconds ago horrible thoughts surrounded me, with a trembling hands I held the phone.
"Yes I'll inform my brothers and we'll be on our way," I said.
"Dr Stone is waiting for you," she said, "thank you have a good day."
I put the phone down as I said my goodbye, still trembling, I sighed and held my shaking right hand with my left.
Calm down, it's a good news, Mathew is alright.
I breathed yet again and straightened my back. Let's go wake them up.
"Idiot! Get up!" I went to each of their rooms and banged.
"What's wrong?" Noah groggily said with his eyes barely open.
"The hospital called," before I could finish my sentence, with widened eyes he ran to Mathew's room.
"He's here, he's here, he's here," he repeated as he saw Mathew.
"Noah it's a good news don't worry, they said Dr Stone has a good news for us."
"Alright then what are we waiting for let's go!" He walked to his room.
"Don't we have to have Mathew with us? And just you and I to go? Are you dumb?"
He opened his mouth to retort, as Mathew walked out of the room.
"What's going on this early in the morning?"
"The hospital called-" I was cut off.
Ethan came out of his room and gasped, "what did they say!?"
"Well I'm trying to talk!"
Ethan walked to Mathew and touched him, "no he's good."
"Dude! Don't do that you idiot!" Mathew hit the back of Ethan's head.
"Ouch! That hurt!"
I shushed them, "will you guys listen, hospital said it's-"
Oliver came out, "what!? What-"
I cut him off, as I yelled, "a good news! A good news!"
"Oh dude you should've said that earlier," Oliver said as he shook his head.
"What even? Why did it take you so long to talk!?" Ethan said.
"Because y'all won't let me talk! Come on! Doctor Stone is waiting for us!"
We rushed to the hospital and into Dr Stone's office.
"Thank you all for coming, in such short notice, but I wanted to share the happy news of us finding the treatment for Mathew!"
We all cheered.
"But it's best you know you have the choice of refusing it as this treatment was beneficial to about 80% of cases it treated."
"I don't want to refuse, 80 percent is good enough and I'll agree to whatever treatment you have for me," Mathew responded, "and it's probably good enough for the FDA to accept it so why should I deny?"
"Very well, we'll have you sign the consent forms for that as we begin the treatment as soon as possible."
"Thank you so much doctor," Mathew said with a smile.
