I stood between my brothers who have their eyes narrowed at Liam.
"Let me explain!" Liam yelled.
Noah pushed him away, "look you said you won't hurt her! But here you are! Look at her tear stained face."
He locked eyes with me and said, "please let me explain everything, its not what it looks like."
"Look I know you've been wondering about Stacey, and I'll tell you everything!"
"Stacey? Stacey is your issue Olivia?" Mathew asked looking at me.
I nodded my head.
"Noah let him go, they just need to talk things through, and Olive you gotta listen alright?"
I furrowed my eyebrows, "thats it? You'll just let me go talk to the cheater!?"
"No you won't talk to any cheaters here, go please," Mathew said.
I sighed and went to where Liam was standing, he grabbed my hand and led me to his car.
He opened the door for me and looked at me expectantly.
"Just get in for God's sake," he sighed.
I didn't say anything and sat in the car, he closed the door and got in on the other side.
He started the engine and started driving.
The eerie silence was hurting my being so I looked at him.
"You gotta ask me to answer you," he said as he turned the steering wheel left to enter a different road.
My stubbornness may have taken over but I really was curious.
As curiosity and stubbornness fought one another, curiosity took over and I opened my mouth to ask, "where are you taking me?"
"To Stacey," he said.
"What!" I yelled, "I'm not the other woman! You can't do-" he cut me off.
"Please Olivia just wait and you'll see, it's not some complicated situation and no matter how I'll explain you'll think badly but when we're there you'll realize."
"Fine," I crossed my arms in front of my chest.
After driving for almost an hour, he stopped the car, I looked at the building and saw "Stacy Children's Hospital".
"What's this?"
"A hospital."
"I can see that but why are we here?"
"Because... um let's go in."
I nodded my head and got out of the car, we neared the hospital's main entrance and Liam's whole demeanor changed.
He grabbed my hands and squeezed tightly, I felt stressed with how he was acting.
Once in the building, he led me to a department called managements, people looked at him and smiled when we moved past them.
We stopped at a wall dedicated to the person who made this hospital happen.
In big letters, STACEY, was written.
A wonderful girl who wanted to be a doctor ~ Stacey's mom, Anna.
So full of life and joy ~Stacey's father, John.
A great friend and an amazing person ~Mason.
My lovely girlfriend ~ Liam.
Stacey unfortunately passed away in a car accident, she and two other passengers were in the car when a drunk driver hit the passenger side.
I looked at him after reading the news report, and held his hand stronger.
"I was driving," his tears fell onto his cheeks.
"I regret it so much, I- I was the driver!" He sobbed.
I hugged him tightly, and patted his back.
"She was so young, so lovely, such an amazing human being, she was an angel, an absolute angel," he gasped, "I ruined her future."
"Hey hey hey, you can't say that, you weren't the drunk driver!"
He looked down at the floor, "I wish I wasn't driving that night."
"We all wish for things to go differently, but her time to go was then and she left a great impact on all the children in this hospital," I forced his head up to look into my eyes.
"You can't blame yourself for what fate had in store."
He nodded his head and wiped his tears.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled.
"It's totally fine, you should let all your feelings out and I'd be here for you whenever you need me," I smiled.
"Thank you, I haven't allowed myself to feel the pain for years now."
"Hey having feelings is normal, we're human after all, our whole thing is about feelings," I shrugged, "but that doesn't mean we should neglect our brains."
"That's true," he said as he started walking to the elevators.
"Where are you going?"
"To see the patients, they're all very sweet."
We went to each floor and met with many patients, all of which hugged and kissed Liam.
A little girl named Stella told Liam that she wants to marry him when she gets older, he kissed her balding head and told her, "you'll find someone a lot better than me."
We move to the next and saw a boy with cerebral palsy, he couldn't speak but mumbled Liam excitedly, he waved his hands and legs as soon as he saw Liam.
All those kids loved him, every single one of them adored this man, and I felt like I was falling deeper in love with him.
Such a beautiful soul he has, always striving to make people happy, that's who Liam is.
I don't know if he knows how amazing of a person he is, but I hope one day he realizes the impact he has on everyone surrounding him.
Tears gathered in my eyes as he hugged another child and told him a story, he had memorized all those kids names as well as what each one loves.
He knows that this kid loves story telling and the other loves songs, we sang for some of the kids and clapped.
For such a dull place, being a hospital, those kids were happy, and I hope they are always happy.
We should always support people, sick, in need or at war, we should come together and fight injustice.
"And that Lulu is how they find the prettiest flowers in the garden," he told Lulu, she also has cerebral palsy.
She smiled and clapped her hands, "thank you Liam."
I smiled at them, thinking about how I got so lucky to be the Undercover Sister in an all boys college.
