Winter is here. Winter is finally fucking here. Everything everywhere is as white as Shé Baihua's scales. Though not as pretty as hers.

Shé Famei thought as she could see the snow falling down from the sky outside. As she cuddled herself warm near the fireplace with extra thick layers of warm clothing alongside a hot tea in her hand, and a warm blanket covering her backside. Smot occasionally coming out of her nose as she tried her best to wipe it with a soft cloth. She really felt the effects of having no tissue in this day and age.

Fuck this, who would have thought that her human body would get a cold just when winter comes ?. Great, just great. Is this because she had been venturing out lately to get some rare herbs and experimenting outside in the cold night and day ?. If so, then it sucks soo much.

You see, she had been in this God forsaken mansion for about a month and a week. It's a lot colder here because the entire mansion is surrounded by the master's cold aura. Just to make things worst, it's also snowing now. And the deadline that the evil black dragon master gave her is due soon when the middle of winter comes. Perhaps because of her acts towards making Shé Baihua hostile towards him, he was petty enough to give her an imminent deadline for her work. That is, she has to give him out some progressive medicine, pills or potions that could significantly reduce his illness's pain or slowing his condition once every two weeks.

It's not that she couldn't do it, as his cold poison has the same properties of Shé Baihua's bone chilling rouge. She thought that she could work on making him have treatment once every month and test out her creations on him.

She could have done it like that, but the evil black dragon decline about testing indecisive products on himself in fear of her somehow poisoning him. He wouldn't let her experiment her drugs on him, so how the hell should she even know if the drugs are potent or not ?. She doesn't have any other lab rats to use besides herself here.

Her body will of course never get drug overdose or medicine poisoning thanks to her special condition. But this special condition of hers is what's makes it harder for her to test her drugs on herself, mainly because even though she knew of their properties and effects, she couldn't grasp the full feeling of it like how other humans do.

She thought of asking some mansion workers to be her lab rats, but she discarded that idea when Chengzhi somehow caught her luring out some innocent guards and laundry maids to let them taste her special 'cooking' that she insisted them on trying. It seems that guy has eyes everywhere judging by how he always seems to knew what she was up to every time they met. This is why she decided to be more careful when trying to do something that is morally unethical or bad.

That bastard fox banned her from entering any of the mansion's kitchen after all tch. She could only cook her own special cooking on her work room's stove, which was off limits to anyone who doesn't want to be poisoned.

She sighs at her irritating condition. Back then at Qin Port City, Shirou Niao gave her full access to freely visit the dungeons of the guild and Qin Port City where they store criminals and traitors alike. So of course, being the cold blooded reptile that she is, Shé Famei made great use of that opportunity to experiment on them whenever she made her newest concoction. Her experimentation would be a 50/50 chance of either the lab rat getting better and being cured of their illness or they would have just slowly deteriorated and got poisoned.

She used to feel guilty about experimenting on those people even back when she was still experimenting on Shé Baihua's prototype bone chilling rouge on the city's dead row inmates. But now? She has become long since desensitized and unhinged mainly due to the cruel nature of her job. She realized that she's no longer human anymore, she's literally a snake demon. The only thing left of her humanity are her familial feelings for her sister and her humanly form.
