Since the incident at the Jiyuan, Zong Gou was hospitalized momentarily within Shé Famei's pharmacy. As he was sent to rest within the guest room while Shé Baihua took care of him after worriedly making him chug some bitter medicine.

And the next day, he was good as new as he was healthy thanks to his fast metabolism. Though his taste buds are kinda destroyed due to the bitterness of medicine. So Shé Baihua who felt slightly guilty, decided to take him strolling around the city to taste the cuisine of Qin Port City in hopes of his taste buds getting better. And it eventually got better after some days. But in turn, Zong Gou became somewhat of a foodie.

Currently, he's venturing on the town to eat with other burly male acquittances who work within Shé Famei's store. Seemingly forgetting his duty to keep watch on the snake sisters for a bit.

The medicine workers who took the morning shift was now free on the night time. And after getting introduced by the boss(Shé Famei) to this dog kid, the burly men found him funny(kinda dumb) and quite adorable. So they decided to ask the boss(Shé Famei) to take him out on a guy's night out. And she agreed to let them be. As tonight Zong Gou probably became the first demon hybrid who did a mukbang in ancient times because he was too adorable that the others can't stop but take out their money to treat him food.

But tonight, we're not talking about that.

Remember that time when Shé Baihua got Shao Jun and Shé Famei go on a festival 'date' together ?. Well, it's not really a date since it's more like her being their 3rd party wing women who tried to get the stiff and edgy Shao Jun to score with her big sister.

And you all know how it ended in a massive fail as Shao Jun failed to give out his best rizz and was rejected by Shé Famei directly.

Or do you remember that time when Shé Famei asked Shao Jun to record Shé Baihua's performance when she couldn't watch it herself due to her mission ?.

Yes, Shé Famei cherished that recording very much as she sometimes play it to herself whenever she's in a bad mood due to Chengzhi's antics. The recording was really nice even though it's not as good as modern day camera.

But what's that got to do with this chapter ?.

Well, when Shé Famei began opening up her poison store again within the black market, an unexpected, uninvited guest came by. And that guest, was none other than the edgy fallen cultivator, Shao Jun.

He just came to the store as usual in his monthly visits a few days ago. But found that the entire poison and medicine store close down because it's the new years. He forgot about it, so he decided to stay in Qin Port City for a few days until the poison shop is open again.

And when it did, he immediately came to visit it to buy his usual stuff. How surprised and happy he was to find that the snake sisters are also home for the new years. So with his head straight no nonsense attitude, he began to greet them as if nothing awkward happened, as he indulge them in a conversation.

Well, more like hearing Shé Baihua's stories of her life within the mansion and her whimsical journey here to say the least.

But it's okay, he's not in a rush. He's still got a lot of time as he also replied Shé Baihua's stories by also telling her the stories of his journey in the time they haven't met each other.

Shé Famei was of course out of this ridiculous conversation as usual, as she just couldn't stand hearing the guy talk like an edgy teenager on their Chunibyo phase, while her little sister, the drama queen, over exaggerates her stories.

So, Shé Famei made her best attempt to stay out of their conversation, till Shé Baihua got tired talking and decided to search for some snacks for them to eat.
