The legend of the white snake used to be a popular well known fable in her home country.

A story about 2 snake demon/spirits sisters. One being of pure white while the other is of jade green.

The version that she knows goes with the white snake sister being a powerful being who fell in love with a human. The human somehow gets captured by the villain multiple times, and together with the green snake sister, the white snake defeated the main villain. Even though the villain eventually captured the white snake, the green snake sister never gave up and swore vengeance.

Years later, the green snake successfully defeats the villain together with the help of the white snake's child's prayers. The white snake was freed and went back to her husband and child. As she lived happily ever after.

It is indeed a nice entertaining and emotional story, especially the creative film adaptations. But what happened to the green snake sister after that ?. Some sources said that the continuation of her story was a tragic or a so-so one.

She was such a complex character, yet years of modern writing made her change into something else. The green snake will either betray her own sister in the far future, getting slayed by another evil monk, or just being there as a stepping stone in the white snake's story.

Well, at least the green snake had her merits in the original story of being the hero who saved her sister.

But the green snake in the current world that she's in, is not so great.

She now lives in a historical world where there exists celestial and demonic beings. A Xianxia world basically. If she remembered it right, this world seemed very similar to an old oriental novel that she found in her grandmother's drawers back when she was still a teen.

She did not remember how she died in her past life, but one thing's for sure, she was treated badly in this life.

She was born into a well known snake demon family. A snake family that had a very strong yet rare genetics where their children would always come out to be white scaled. Through generations, this family of snakes managed to successfully seduce the humans with their business and concocting skills, earning them a right to be called somewhat of the upper class in modern times.

But what's the point of a great family if they don't treat her well?.

The green snake in this world were deemed as an unlucky symbol. In  this world, she betrayed her sister because she fell in love with the evil monk who was trying to kill her sister's family. Only to later be consumed by madness, and was killed by the evil monk. The white snake loved her green sister as if she's her own blood, but she was stabbed in the back by the so called sister. Making her turn into a cripple. But in the end, her son turned into a celestial being who managed to kill the evil monk and healed his own mother back.

Because the legend of the white snake in this world is an actual history, one that has multiple confirmed records about it, it made sense how the snake demons saw the color green as unlucky. Though thankfully for them, a green snake has been very rare to find for the last hundreds of years. Mainly because of the massive demonic and spirits purge by the celestials back then. Also, it's maybe because most of them left to the damp and moist South region because of the racism in their homeland.

Unfortunately for her, she's stuck here ever since she was born.

Shé Baihua, a very beautiful albino snake, was a very kind and lovable girl. A harmless young girl who could not even produce any amount of venom nor concoct any poisons. An innocent child who likes to play with the servants and treat them as equals. A special child who could not go too much under the sun, because her melanin-less pale skin will burn if not treated carefully.
