CHAPTER 4

Today was a very special day.

Well, in Jay's case it was.

He had just found out it was Daniel's birthday and had text you to come over to his complex and help him with his gifts.

You had gotten a gift for Daniel also, a designer jacket made from your parents fashion company which they had insisted you gift as it was a hot item at the moment.

'I hope he likes it.'

You remember overhearing some of the rich nerds in your class talking crap about Daniel and how he wasn't wearing designed brands all over him.

'That won't be the case any more.' You thought as you saw the stack of bags on the other side of Jay's room.

You sat on his bed watching the poor boy stress over what he should write on the paper he was planning to stick onto one of the bags.

"You know, Jay...a simple happy birthday can also reveal a lot too." You mentioned and he gazed at you with his lips parting slightly to show his surprise before a smile painted his lips.

He grabbed a sticky note and wrote down 'HAPPY BDAY' since he wrote it too big and there wasn't enough space to write 'birthday' before looking towards you with a relieved smile.

"I still need to wrap up my present." You opened the bag you bought along with you and pulled out some wrapping paper and sellotape.

Jay sat in front of you and helped you fold the paper around the jacket before you placed a piece of tape on top to secure it.

"Where do you want to give the presents? At school?"

Jay shook his head over the suggestion, not wanting anyone to see him hand over the very expensive clothes to Daniel.

"How about by his home?"

There was an open area before walking into the alleyway to reach Daniel's home and you knew he didn't want anyone entering his home because of his other body so this was the best way to avoid that possibility.

Jay nodded, smiling once more and you couldn't help but return it with a warm one of your own.

The following day was when the two of you reunited, with Jay offering you a ride in his car which you accepted as you were both making your way to see Daniel.

The driver had been informed of the location and it didn't take long for you to arrive by the alleyway but before you stopped by it, you drove past a few members of Burn Knuckles hiding in the next alleyway making your eyebrows furrow with confusion.

"Did you see them, Jay?"

You looked over to your friend to see him nod and as the car parked up to the side, you both got out, leaving your presents in the car to check out the situation in the next alleyway.

"That new student is always alone after school!"

"Let's take him out when he shows up!"

"This is for our leader!"

Jay was ready to take down anyone who would hurt his man-i mean...his new friend but you were quick to stop him as you placed a hand on his arm and looked back at him with a smile.

"I'll sort it out."

You walked around the corner and entered the alleyway, facing the fours boys who turned to you with wonder.

"What do you want?" One of them spoke rudely and you frowned over this, taking a step closer to them.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation about wanting to attack Daniel." You mentioned and it took a moment for them to recognise you.
