He began laughing to himself and I became increasingly sure he had lost his mind.

"Three new dragons in three years and two of them female." He continued laughing his body shaking.
"From the tip of their tails to their heads, unmistakably mine."

"They are mine." I asserted.

He stopped laughing abruptly and looked at me.

"Of course their yours." He grinned a sharp toothed grin. And held my face between his hands. "The long term effects in dosage must be astronomical that you were able to carry them to fruition even out here in a stressful environment." He mummbled to himself.

His eyes were dilated and unfocused.

"Theres something wrong with you. Your not right." I tried shaking my head out of his grasp.

"... Its the sleep deprivation... and the seperation put me on edge... its fine now I have you and now my offspring but there will have to be changes to the plan.." he started to think resting his head against my head.

"Offsprong can not be raised outside the mountain, especially females but I cant bring you back either." He reasoned wrapping around me again. Even bloody and dirty the smell of him made something relax in my brain. Wanting to breath it more, but i pushed away at him again. I cant be stupid, not when I have them to care for. I can never forgive, and never forget.

"You need to leave." I told him.

His red eyes peirced into mine. Not comprehending what i was saying.

"Leave?" He asked.

"Yes, i want you to go." I repeated harshly. The words were a struggle as his feeling whirled through the bond. Obsession, desire, elation. There was a part of me that reveled in it. He missed me. He wants me. Hes a mess over me. I fought it. In my mind i replayed the scene from just moments ago. He would have killed Jen. Without reason or care. She was a child who did nothing wrong and harmed no one and the anger in me bubbled over it. I used that memory to feed my resentment and smoother out his affection.

"No." Cerastes said. "Were meant to stay together. Those two and Vihar are proof."

"Fine, if you wont go then we will." I said through gritted teeth. "Girls were leaving."

Jen looked between us and Aelia and Idelia stayed atop her.

"To the cart, now!" I ordered the firmly.

They scrambled up. Moving behind me to the door as to avoid Cerastes. I pushed passed him and walked outside leaving the furs and bedding behind. I just needed to put some distance between him and I.

"It makes no difference." He said following me. "Whether you stay or go, I'll be with you."

He grabbed my arm where the white tattoo of scales in circled my arm from wrist to shoulder. Although it was covered by my bulky clothes we both new it was still there.

"We are bound together forever. There is no place you can go where I wont find you, no place you could be where Im not with you." Cerastes said gripping my arm.

I pulled my arm out of his grasp and began putting the girls on the cart. He was already tired. If I mive often enough, fast enough i might be able to wear him down to the point where he has no choice but to sleep.

I smelled fire on the air. I took two sniffs and looked around. I smelled the smoke but didn't see the fire. Cerastes noticed my looking around and copied me. It was unlikely their would be a forest fire when everything here was wet and damp. Someone must be near by but the only people around here were the orcs.

"Did you pass by a village on your way here?" I asked.

He only tilted his head and I looked in the direction of the Orc village. I senced movement in the scattered tree line and figures with torches began appearing.

"You led the Orcs right to us." I scowled at him.

"I only killed the few that tried to block my path. Ungrateful beasts." He looked bored. I looked at the fresh blood on his clothes and hair.

"You didn't?" I whispered in disgust.

"First I cant hurt the human, now its the Orcs?" He sighed.

I grabbed on to the wagon and began moving as quickly as possible away from the incoming mob.

"You dont need to run, I can protect you and our offspring. They are only Orcs." Cerastes said flexing his claws.

"No. You've caused enough damage to the tribe." I said angrily.

"Fine then." He said following beside the wagon.

The terrain was bumpy and difficult to maneuver at speed. The girls were getting bounced around uncomfortably on the wagon but worse it was making us to slow to flee from the Orcs behind us. I beseached the wind to help us away, and that Cerastes didn't hurt Gorza or Ortha.

He was here looking for me. Even if we werent on speaking terms the love I have for them didn't go away. When the Orcs got close enough for me to make out their facial expressions I stopped pulling the wagon.

"Jen! Come here!" I told her.

She scooted over the flat base and moved to me. I put her on my back. While the girls still climbed on her. I had the kids and grandpas seeds tucked away in the folds of my clothes. It was all i needed. I took a few steps away from the wagon i had so painstakingly built and began to sprint.

"What about our stuff?" Jen said in a trembling voice.

"We'll be fine with out it." I assured her and began sprinting. Steadily putting more and more distance between us and them.

"Give the two to me." Cerastes said reaching for Idelia.

"I'll carry them" I argued while we ran. Vearing away from Cerastes. While i was running very fast, i couldnt run at top speed while carriying the three girls. Cerastes was obviously moving at a much slower pace than what was usual for him. The orcs were getting further and further out of sight.

"It will be more difficult for a human to run while carrying others than it would for me." He asserted.

"I said I'll carry them!" I shouted at him.

The sound of a branch cracked above us and pieces of branches flecked down in a shower. I looked up to see two pairs of eyes. Dante and Talon, Cerastes older brothers.

"No need to argue, we'll carry them." Talon said.
