This situation kept getting worse. Cerastes. The Orcs. The wagon. And now the brothers. I took a step back from them and  felt the girls hiss at the mostly camoflaged men in the trees. Cerastes took a step forward and bared his fanged teeth.

Dante the eldest brother was not dressed as extravagantly as I had known him to. His long straight black hair was braided behind him. His outfit was high quality and fitted to him, unlikely to flit about in the cross winds. His scaled legs were explosed from the knee down and he wore no footware on his clawed feet.

Talon the second brother was not dressed as carefully. His clothes were loose. His top was barely more than a brightly colored vest, it exposed his chest and his pants were loose fitting and made from a shiny thin fabric. Had he not worn such clothes he would have easily blended into the trees with his brown skin and dark features.

"What a suprise." Dante said looking at the twins. The look on his face was a mix of revolsion and admiration. "That human brought two more for the mountain."

I looked back again at the angry horde behind us, then the two beast before me trying to decided what the best form of action would be. I could outrun the Orcs but i couldnt out run wings. The only reason i was able to escape the mountain the first time was because no one was monitoring me but this was different. Yet, all my thinking didn't matter. The decision was made for me.

"Grab the drake." Dante ordered Talon with a nod.

"Ugh." Talon moaned with a sigh before he leaped of the branch flapping twice before gliding to Cerastes. I watched in slow motion as Talon tucked his wings in and slammed into the crouched Cerastes at full force.  Cerastes tried to get his arms around Talon, his claws trying desperatly to rake across the wings on  Talons back.

Then I was weightless. Dantes clawed feet were clamped down around my shoulders, digging into the soft spots under my arms. I let out a scream of suprise but i didn't stuggle. It was difficult for me to see where we were ping because I was being carried reversed. Jen was still on my back and I tightly held on to her legs that were wrapped around my waist, hoping that she didnt get startled and let go of her hold around my neck.

Looking past Dantes tail, in front of me Cerastes and Talon still struggling on the ground. It was difficult to see behind me but I looked up and found that both of the girls were being carried in Dantes arms. They flapped their wings hissing and clawing at his hold like angry cats.

Dante dipped low over the wet ground before he flapped stong strokes lifting us higher and higher into the air. We were lifted high over the horde of Orcs, carrying toarches.

"Baaaiit!" I familiar voice bellowed.
"Bait!" Another voice joined her.

Below me, becoming smaller and smaller with distance, I saw Gorza and Ortha again. Their voices were filled with worry and their was an anguish look on their green faces. I know what this looks like in their yellow eyes. The problematic kid and her children were swept up by winged beasts in the night never to be seen or heard from again.

Gorza began chasing after us with Ortha close behind. Their feet pounding at the ground. Water and mud bursting from the places their feet touched the ground in small bursts. They fervently shouted for me with hands outstretched as if reaching alone would be able to pull me down from the tree tops.

The misunderstandings we had would never be resolved and they had only ever been good to me and now I was leaving in a bad way again, just as I had the two times before. How unfortunate were they to have met me? I almost wished we hadnt met, if only to spare them the heartache of caring for me. I felt the tears burn in my eyes.
