Becoming bait for underwater beasts, fighting monsters she never knew existed, and meeting new friends who dont look so friendly. Rowan seeks to claw out a new life, but can she keep her focus when with a merman after her tail?
(Book 2 in the Rowa...
We took breaks in caves, pockets with air I could breath, and where he could rest without being attacked. He always knew where a cave would be, maybe it was because he had been there before but I knew I would never be able to find hidden places in the water like this. Swimming cost a great amount of energy, more so when carrying another person. Roka stopped to rest several times throughout the night but even when he slept he was never entirely asleep. Like the little otters on the sea he slept while holding on to me.
I, on the other hand couldn't sleep if I wanted to. I knew how to float but what if I turned my head to the side and drowned? That wasn't the only obstacle to my rest. The temperature in the caves were to cold, I was in an unfamiliar place, with a man touching me and I had agreed to allow alot more touching later.
How would it even work? What would go where? The parts did not seem to be the same for humans and Sirenaidea but Roka seemed entirely confident in his ability. Dragons could sleep with humans. I hadn't seen any adult male penises but I'm sure they probably weren't much different compared to a dragon penises. With Sirenaidea...theres just a tail. Nothing hanging or poking out was remotely visible. Without other distractions to hold my mind in the dimly lit dark, the scenario stayed with me. I thought about Rokas looks.
Roka's long blue hair was pretty, along with the gem on his forehead. His nose small straight nose was different but not bad. While Rokas beige torso wasn't bulky with muscle it still felt firm, places swirled with his white tattoos.
White tattoos not unlike mine.
Rokas skin didn't feel the same as mine, he felt sleek without body hair. He had a belly button or I assume the Sirenaidea version of one. It was lower than where a humans would should be. In the space where his skin became scales. Rather than a circle that delved into the stomach it was more like a line, like the split of abs that went inward. The shiny metal scales he added to his tail glimmered and flashed when caught by the light.
I bent slightly and felt Roka move underneath me.
"Still awake?" He asked.
"Mmhm." I agreed.
"Lets move again, were nearly there." He assured me.
"Where is there?" I asked.
"An alcove I know. Safe and very private." He said swishing his tail fin. "An ideal place."

The sky turned a pinkish hue with the dawn. To Rokas credit the alcove was both private and felt safe. Big streak colored rock walls rose up from the ground in a dome shape. A large chunk of the caves apex had fallen down, letting in the sun light. There were two openings from the sea, that allowed the water to spill in and with it Roka and I. Sand cover half the available space, while water made up the rest. It was like living in an overturned broken bowl.
