"Iv wasted resources sending out humans to dig you up" he slammed his tail on the floor. "As soon as you return you do this!"

"I had to preserve my intrests." He retorted.

"This is why you could never lead the mountain." The high lord said between gritted teeth.

"How fortuitous it is to have a younger brother to do it instead." Pyros said fixing his clothes.

"Did you let those humans in?" He asked.

Pyros hissed.

"Dont lie to me, it is within you capabilities to do anything for your own ends." The high lord said.

Pyros steadied himself and looked up at his brother eye to eye.
"No." He replied. "But it was a welcomed opportunity, dont resent me for capitalizing on it...." Pyros practically slithered as he walked. Smooth and hypnotic in his movements. He placed a hand on his brothers shoulder and leaned in close.

"Give me a reason why i shouldnt rip these wasted wings off your sorry scales." Kavern glared at him.

"Temper, Temper." Pyros hushed him as if he were a child throwing a fit and not a monster ready to pull him apart. "Ill make some more, but ill need you to get me a few things first."

"And?" He asked.

"It would be a shame to waste fresh materials. Do you think you could convince our guests into inturning their fallen members under the mountain?" Pyros asked.

"You want to add dragon bodies to your butcher block?" He asked incrediously.

"They are already gone, why not use their carcasses to make more "hybrids" as you called them. The next batch wont use my blood, only the blood of thr fallen common dragons. I'll let you use the resulting offspring for your purposes." He assured nodding.

He paused for a time. Then he looked over my family members standing in the cave.

"I wont bequeth any dwellings to your offspring." The high lord began.

"Their all still very young. Most are under fifty." Pyros explained.

"Then they will stay in your wing." Kavern waved him off before turning away.

"Ill help Rowan and her brood to bring her things to my wing." Pyros nodded.

Kavern stopped and turned back to him.

"Theres no need." He replied.

"Rowan is my dearest offspring and in my absence shes already been made to birth three eggs before she past her centurion mark. Since she is unmated she should return back to her sires hearth." Pyros reasoned.

"She and the hatchlings  have already established a den within my wing." Kavern argued.

"Shes my offspring and she should return home." Pyros shook his head.

"Arrangements have been made for her to go to Dantes wing, there is no reason for her to move twice." Kavern objected.

"Dante?" Pyros asked.

"He bested Cerastes for her." Kavern explained.

"His claim holds no relevance!" Pyros said vehemently. "I have already told you her name is in the mountain, not human, and certainly not property. The only claim to her that is recognizable is my own." Pyros argued his grievance.

"While that might be, Vihar, Aelia, and Idelia are already established in my wing." Kavern continued. "They will stay where they are."

"Idelia and Aelia have not completed a single rotation and you want to seperate them from their dāme?!" Pyros questioned.

"Shes left her offspring before!" Kavern argued.

"That was NOT HER FAULT!" Pyros pointed his finger at his brother as if to stab him with it.

"She chose to leave!" Kavern gestured to me with a clawed hand.

Pyros rubbed both hands against the sides of his face. Before placing his palms flat together. He tried to lower the tone of his voice.

"She had no recourse! She can not be blaimed for surviving!" Pyros all but shouted.

"No human that walked these halls recieved better treatment than she!"

"She was never human in the first place!" Pyros raised his voice.

"High lord!" Dante said outside the chamber.

Dante entered into the underground chamber in a hurry. He was also a mess. His long black hair that had draped down his back to the base of his tail was now considerably uneven and shorter.

"A thousand apologies but we are still dealing with the rammifications of the attack." He paused looking around, taking in the scene. He seemed unsuprised by Pyros, after all he must have heard his uncles voice outside the hall but seeing so many unfamiliar faces in a restricted area likely threw him off.  Dante paused looking around for a moment before starting again.

"you presence is required in the great hall." Dante said standing at attention.

The high lord grimaced, showing sharp bared teeth down the inside of his mouth. You really couldnt tell how far their mouths could open most the time untill they did something like that.

"Well discuss this later." The high lord said before exiting the green crystal lined chamber. Dante followed behind him, taking a single look back over his shoulder.

Pyros smoothed out his own hair. "Come along my offspring, introductions are in order." He said before following the same way the high lord and Dante had gone.
