"Seo-jun, wait up! We're not gonna be late." Charlotte yelled at Seo-jun as they navigated through the maze-like corridors of Amaryllis academy.
"Unnie, there's so much to cover about the school and you're not helping yourself if you're going to walk at the speed of a 7 month old baby." Seo-jun complained.

As they finally reached the courtyard of Amaryllis academy, Charlotte quickly realised that this was where the students hangout. A big oak tree in the middle of the courtyard provided shade and comfort for the 'loners' reading beneath it while rowdy kids chase each other relentlessly. This was the scene of Amaryllis academy. Charlotte gasped at the structure of the school, it was quite a beautiful place actually. The big and vast campus of the school made Charlotte feel so puny, like a new prey stepping into the territory of predators.
Looking back, Charlotte recalled the old homeless man being picked on by the kids here. She wanted to know how the students here were like, were they all bullies that picked on the less wealthy? Or were there a variety of students like a public school? She was curious.
"Seo-jun." Charlotte called out, grabbing the attention of her temperamental roommate. "Could you tell me more about the students here?"
Seo-jun's eyes widened with delight, finally she could spill some of Amaryllis' drama and gossip to the newbie that seemed to be a bit aloof at times. She pointed at the four boys sitting on a table in the courtyard. Charlotte scanned them. One of them was significantly bigger than the others, looking like the stereotype of a football boy, or in other words, a jock. The other was a blonde-haired boy who had a goofy smile, holding a mathematics assignment. Next to him was a brown-haired boy, scratching his head, struggling to comprehend the equation on the paper. They seemed like himbos, really really dumb kids, but not a threat to Charlotte.
The last boy on the table intrigued her, possibly because of how different he looked from the rest of them. He had messy black hair that was tied up in a partial man bun with his uniform tucked out in the most unflattering way. Behind him, girls were eyeing him like he was the only dress left in a ZARA shop. Charlotte was confused, how could some drug addict looking man be a fucking girl magnet in a posh private academy?
"You know, I was just a freshman here like three months ago. It's pretty exciting to be in a new environment!" Seo-jun sighed, reliving the moments she had as 'the new kid'.
"Who are they?" Charlotte questioned Seo-jun. She was frowning a bit, not understanding why the black-haired boy captured the eyes of so many girls in Amaryllis academy.
"Follow me Unnie, let's introduce ourselves to them, you'll find out who they are soon!" Before Charlotte knew it, Seo-jun grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the table. Charlotte wasn't afraid of talking to people, but this was a little sudden.
"Hey guys! I'd like to introduce you to my roommate, she's new here by the way. Say hi to Charlotte!" Seo-jun exclaimed. The boys stared at Charlotte confused at first before one of them spoke out.
"Hi Charlotte! My name's Johnson. It's so nice to meet you!" Johnson smiled. The jock brought his left hand up and waved at her excitedly. "It's always so nice to see new people here!" He exclaimed. Charlotte waved awkwardly.
"Charlotte? Bro that's such a cool name! Mine's Loid but my homies just call me an idiot, nice to meet you!" The blonde-haired boy waved at her, still holding his math assignment.
"Nice to meet you, idiot." Charlotte replied sarcastically.
"My name's Jack, uhm, what's your name again? I kinda forgot." The brown-haired boy rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Charlotte watched Seo-jun roll her eyes before tugging his ear.
"Seriously Jack? Her name's Charlotte, Loid just said it less than a minute ago! Are you stupid or are you stupid?" Seo-jun complained.
"Oh? but Loid was helping me with math homework a minute ago." Jack replied foolishly. Charlotte looked over at Seo-jun and yikes..she looked like she was going to murder Jack.
Before Charlotte knew it, the black haired boy extended his hand out. "I'm Chris." He said. Charlotte looked at him odd, not shaking his hand. Chris noticed and grabbed her hand, shaking it. Now he's extremely odd, Charlotte felt how awkward this handshake was and let go of his hand.
"So, Jack what are you doing over there with the math assignment?" Charlotte asked. If she was going to make friends here, she should start now, right?
Jack handed her the math assignment, pointing at the equation he couldn't solve. Charlotte looked at him, noticing how the tears welled up in his eyes. It seemed that this question had broke him down mentally. Charlotte read the question aloud, "Expand (x+3)(x+2)..."
Charlotte thought,"Is he fucking stupid? We learnt the basic expansion of algebraic equations in middle school.."
Anyway, she helped him solve it, leaving Loid and Jack with their eyes filled with gratitude as Seo-jun and Charlotte walked off to the next group of individuals she was going to be introduced to.
As they walked, Charlotte noticed a group of six girls chit chatting near the corner of the courtyard. They seemed like they were in the middle of some...debate?
"Those are my friends." Seo-jun pointed towards them. "The girl with red hair is Willow, she wants to be a lawyer in the future and she's dating Loid, the idiot. That girl with brown hair is Moon. She's the successor of her parent's company and she's really good at makeup! That tall emo black haired girl there is Jane, known to be a troublemaker. Petty crime and all that but no one knows how she really got into this school! Beside her is a little goth girl named Alyssa. She actually has some skill in voodoo magic, pretty cool huh? Oh- and the girl to her left is Vox. Her mother's a well-known MILF in the school. Our last girl is Jennie, the barbie of the group. She's actually one of the nicest people here and has her own dance group, also she's the sister of Chris and Jack!" Seo-jun was excited to introduce all her friends to Charlotte. Meanwhile Charlotte was struggling to remember all the names of everyone she's been introduced to.
Before they had the opportunity to walk up to them, the bell rang. They had to go. Charlotte quickly grabbed her bag and scrambled to Mathematics class. That was an interesting group of people here, she was thrilled to get to know them all. She didn't think she would actually see people like them here. But her thoughts were interrupted as she rammed hard into someone while running to Mathematics class. They both fell onto the ground.
"Ouch." The person groaned.
Charlotte took a second to grab her books from the floor and regain herself, she didn't want to be late for her first class at her new school. She took one look at the person she bumped into..
"Chris?! Out of all people?" She thought. But there was no time to waste as she clumsily brought herself to her feet and ran towards her classroom, leaving the boy on the ground clueless.
