~Stephanie's POV~

"Chris?" Stephanie called out. Time seemed to have stopped as everyone turned around to face her, guys would be in awe of how she looked that night but her eyes were on Chris, only Chris. And the disappointing part was that girl right beside him, Charlotte. In her eyes a spotlight seemed to shine bright on Chris, it was like he was the only one in the room for her. She gave him a little smile as her eyes drooped downwards to his outfit. It was a lazy, effortless white tee shirt that looked great on him, spray painted with the words 'BLONDE GIRL'. Now that hit her like a knife to her chest, a thousand knives in fact. She wasn't quite sure what she liked about him, sure he was hot, he's a little cute sometimes, but why did that hurt so much? Maybe it was because that wasn't her, she wasn't his type. She could think of many other blonde girls that she thought were blatantly unattractive, why pick them? Come to think of it, Emily and Charlotte were blonde, it could be them that he was referring to. Stephanie breathed in shakily, gripping onto the stair railing before heading down to meet Chris. The crowd parted for her as she took a step closer to him but he didn't look impressed, he just stood there.

"Hi Chris." She mustered up the courage to talk to him. The crowd seemed to return back to dancing, as she could hear guys yodelling and shouting in the distance. Her heart skipped a beat. "May I steal you for a moment?" She asked, smirking at him then looking back at Charlotte who just took a sip out of her drink, standing there looking between her and Chris. She'd won against Charlotte this time and that made her day. She dragged Chris through the crowd before finding a quieter spot where they could talk.
