It was yet another beautiful day at Amaryllis academy for Jennie. Ever since school had started, things had been going especially well for her. She had her new dance group that got along well with each other, and she made a lot of friends. In fact, they recently released a new video filmed in Times Square.
If you were to ask the student cohort about Jennie, they'd probably tell you that she seemed like a perfect girl, she was 'that girl' in school, kind of like Seo-jun. She was pretty, tall, slim, sociable but yet really really nice to everyone. But she'd never call herself all those words, she was far too humble for that.
Jennie actually thought of herself as a normal optimistic girl. She had two brothers, Chris and Jack, both stupid but lovable in her opinion. Everyday she'll check in on them before meeting her girlies, like a good sister should. She'd teach them Mathematics, Science, English whatever it was, as long as it made them happy. She'd get her friends gifts and treat them out for food. She was generally a positive person, but she wasn't always like this, especially as a kid.
As usual, Jennie walked down the spiral stairs towards the courtyard. Mornings at Amaryllis academy were misty and cold yet the students gave the school its spirit. She'd walk by girls showing off their new prada fall collection bag. Students at Amaryllis academy were used to branded goods being shown off at their doorstep, it was sort of like a competition to get the latest branded items. Surprisingly, despite Jennie's love for pretty materialistic things, she didn't take part in such competition. In her opinion, it was a waste of time, money and effort.
She was greeted with the harsh cold breeze as soon as she stepped out of her dorm tower. Mornings like these called for a cup of Hojicha. She loved how it tasted bitter yet it brought her a sense of comfort, especially missing the ones her Grandmother made for her back in South Korea. She'd then make her way to the courtyard to meet up with her friends before school started, a well-known Amaryllis academy tradition. They'd usually talk about gossip and joke around. But this time, they started talking about how kindergarten was like for each of them.
