"Attention students, it's currently 3pm as shown on the clocktower. Students are now dismissed, have a great day ahead." The principal's voice blasted through the speakers. It was as if light shone on the faces of the student body as students burst out of their classrooms, eyeing their friends in the midst of the crowd. As laughter and cheerfulness seemed to infect all the students, Loid was waiting for his friends, Johnson and Jack, though he preferred referring to them as the 'JJs'.
"Bros, I know math has drained the living hell out of you guys but we gotta go! Chris promised us to take us to the cafe he's working at!" Loid whined, frantically looking out the door in an attempt to search for Chris and back in the classroom to see his friends packing, no stuffing their bags with worksheets in an untidy manner.
"Don't worry Loid, trust Chris! Homies gotta wait for each other." Johnson flashed Loid a smile, crumpling the pieces of torn math worksheets into his bag.
"Yeah, seems like my brother hasn't been dismissed from class." Jack sighed. Before anyone could react, Chris suddenly appeared at the doorway beside Loid. Loid wasn't sure how to react to that sudden appearance, so out of all possible things, he let out a female sounding scream that shattered the ears of his 'bros'.
Though Chris made no apparent sound, he looked at Loid with an annoyed expression, his index fingers stuffed in his ears. "Are we going?" He quickly asked, his backpack hung on one of his shoulders.
"Yes sir!" Loid saluted. Like, he actually saluted to Chris. He was happy, really happy that he could finally visit the cafe his friend worked at, he could try new food and get to know new people, it would be so fun! But most importantly if the place was good, he'd bring Willow there next time. Though he just went on a date with Willow a few days ago, he hated to admit that he missed her. How her red hair would fall perfectly on her shoulders and how she'd actually give him the sweetest smile when she saw him. She never was that sweet to anyone else and that made him feel special. Something about her made him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, like drinking his favourite hot cocoa!
