Dust glimmered in the little Debate room as the afternoon sun shone through its modest looking windows. It had been a while since the windows were properly cleaned as a yellow tint formed at its edges, creating a rustic effect in this aging castle tower the library was located in. About three hours ago, Charlotte was quickly accepted by Willow into the club. Upon appearance, it was like watching a fictional character step through the pages of a book written by someone else. Maddie couldn't believe she was staring at a real person, the rumours and jokes had really dehumanised the blonde chick. Were the rumours really true? Was she Chris' new toy? She couldn't picture Chris with someone like her, they were opposites, it can't be, he barely even knew her. Maddie had been here longer, she'd have proper conversations with him. Hell, she'd even won competitions with him, who did Charlotte think she was?

"I'm going to display my award-winning architecture piece on the shelves." Jane stood up from her wooden chair, carefully picked her gingerbread house up from the wooden table. The girls were researching for a debate practice they'd planned on doing after the food had arrived, yes Chris was delivering food from the cafeteria. Knowing Chris, he'd never do such a tedious thing, something must've happened when the blondie talked to him. Maddie would side eye Jane who deliberately placed one foot on the wooden floorboards as it creaked, before taking another step.

"I'm here!" A voice echoed through the halls before exploding into the Debate room, disregarding the library rules. Before Jane could react a tall blonde boy crashed into her, her gingerbread house flying up into the sky before crash landing on Loid's head. Loid's grin turned into a worried frown as he licked the sugar frosting that landed on his hand. "Jane! I'm so sorry!" He attempted picking up the M&Ms and gingerbread pieces that scattered on the wooden floor before looking up at Jane. "I'm really sorry Jane." He was on the brink of tears.
