Loki was on the ground by the time you arrived, grunting painfully. Thor, despite clearly being taken aback and concerned for his brother got up and charged at the creature giving you an opportunity to attack it from the back. After a good deal of fighting, Thor and you had finally managed to slay the beast and you both rushed to Loki who, by the time you got there, had paled a great deal and was bleeding but otherwise seemed to be able to stay alive.

The strong smell of his blood played with your mind in a twisted way. The continuous use of your backup energy was running you towards your limit and even without smelling the blood you were almost completely knocked out of the saddle but now... now you had serious problems controlling yourself. And by the way, he wasn't just having a papercut, no he was loosing a serious amount, making your mouth fill with saliva at the thought of a taste.

"We have to go! They have the Aether. Midgard is in danger!" Thor instructed as you and him helped his brother to his feet. His head was hanging low and his breathing as faint as of a mouse.

"Go get Jane, I'll stay with him!" You ushered him and soon, he flew away to help his girlfriend.

You carefully looked up at Loki who was standing with closed eyes, a pained impression plastering on his face. His breathing had not evened, nor was he able to stand on his own.The veins under your eyes swelled as you felt your true vampire form come out, your fangs pierced your lower lip.

"Are you alright?" You finally asked after trying to grasp back at least a fraction of control.

"Never been better." He whispered sarcastically, accompanied by a set of weak coughs and a bloodied palm as a result. You both observed it for a moment before Loki ignorantly smudged it into his armor. You had to bite down on your lips in order to draw some of your own blood to stop yourself from killing him. He was struggling hard to stay conscious, weakly fighting his constantly fluttering lashes and head dropping forward.

"Can you heal yourself?" You asked while looking up at the sky and inhaling deeply. Every fiber of your being was screaming at you, howling to have just one sip. Thor had left you with him leaning his full weight against your side and bleeding all over you, not helping your situation the slightest. Loosing control right now would have meant slaughtering him like an animal, drinking until the last faint gasp leaves his mouth and the last drop of warm blood melts on your tongue.

"No- not in this... state." His voice was more of a strained groan than anything else but you managed to understand it. Great... so more bleeding.

"Take my blood." You shifted a bit, readying to hold him up and heal him at the same time.

"Won't...work." He managed weakly and fell forward. That wasn't a good sign, right? Stabilizing him with a palm on his chest you managed to hold him in place so it was only his head that fell forward, most of his body weight was already on you anyways.

When Thor arrived back with Jane you shot him a desperate look, signaling towards the god currently unconscious in you hands. Thor stepped closer with a face that was clouded with worry and took his other side. Your body froze in horror as you removed your hand from his chest and realized that your palm too had been stained red. With shaking fingers your wiped it into your pants, the same, royal looking one Frigga made you. It has not lost its spark, however, you felt out of place in the current situation, wearing the nicest clothes in the whole world.
