What many people don't understand is that a lot can happen to you in one day. And a lot did happen to you that day...

In the morning following your debatably successful birthday party, you were practically taking care of a moderately dead Tony as construction workers swarmed the kitchen, working swiftly to rebuild the ceiling where Thor had plummeted through. Bruce, Clint and Thor didn't show their faces until well after 1pm. You were overall really happy with how the party turned out, you were just angry with Loki. Why would he take the form of a girl to flirt with you all night and get you all flustered and turned on? If you didn't notice, would he have slept with you? If that was the case, why didn't he just ask?

You just didn't understand why he would do what he did. You didn't even want to see him, in fear that you might just kill, or ,worse for him, castrate him.

Thor was loudly snoring in his room as you tried to cheer Tony up who was having a banging hangover, not even daring to think about eating, he sipped his cup of water in slow motion.

"I heard if you have a shot the morning after you party, your body will process the alcohol faster." You suggested, but only earned a groan as he let his head fall into his hands.

"God... anything is better than this... I am officially never drinking again." He murmured against the table.

"Looks like you've completed your duties as the host yesterday." Natasha came in with a smile and referred to Tony getting drunk. He just hummed in response, not even trying to talk this time. "You guys want me to make breakfast?" She asked as she checked over the room, landing her eyes on you with an apologetic shrug after stating that no one was in any condition to eat.

Natasha made herself a nice smelling plate of food and invited you to watch some TV with her. She could sense that something was off with you, you knew by the look on her face. About the time she finished eating, in came Loki who looked at you pleadingly as he passed over were you were seated. You tensed at the sight of him at first but it quickly got replaced by burning anger. You couldn't even stand to look at him.

Nat put a hand on your thigh, seeing your tenseness, successfully pushing you further towards madness. She was nothing but hostile towards you and now she's acting all nice out of the blue. Weird...

"So tell me, how did you like the party?" She asked after a while when she felt you relax enough into her touch.

You exhaled heavily, knowing full well Loki was still there and very likely listening into the conversation. "It was amazing for the most part... although, at the end I had to deal with some trash." You gritted coldly with a clench of your jaw.

"So that girl wasn't any fun. The one you left with?" She laughed, her voice carrying a warmth that radiated care.

"Oh no, she was." You started "until she decided to drop her illusion."

You slowly drifted to lighter conversation topics, asking Nat about her experience at the party and what she was going to do today.

It still felt strange that she was this relaxed.

Later that day you went to the stables to enter a deeper state of relaxation. You were thinking about going out for a ride in the forest but it briefly made you remember how you'd taken Loki out with you one time and you found yourself turning Spice back around and into the arena.

You've had Spice for over three years now. You had bought him when he was just a little foal, trained him to do all sorts of stupid tricks for you but above all loved him more than yourself. He'd grown into a loving young man who always knew exactly what you wanted and made you proud every chance he got.
