Loki's POV
Loki couldn't quite place you anywhere. You were so different with him compared to everyone else in the tower. When you talked to him you did it in a way you would talk to Thor or the others. You didn't show hate or anger or disgust towards him, you always seemed genuinely interested in your conversations.
He found it easier to talk to you.
While Thor kept annoying him with his unnecessary questions and warnings of how he should act if he wants everyone to accept him (which he didn't), you out of the very few times you talked since he was here felt like a gentle breeze of spring wind.
He could not believe himself. Was he actually going to leave the tower with you? This wasn't the most shocking observation he'd made though. The part that stirred something in him was that he felt excited in a way, like he never experienced before. He never thought he would want to do something with anyone, especially from the Avengers but the idea of going with you seemed actually okay.
As the doors to the elevator opened at the minus first floor, he found himself a little lost in the maze of the many machines Midgardians called cars. That was until one of them came to life and almost blinded him with light. He then seated himself beside you in the machine and started inspecting the interior. It looked to be a kind of soft leather that caressed his skin as he touched it and granted a familiar but enjoyable scent in the car. With the push of your delicate fingers the engine roared up like a lion and the car started smoothly moving forward and pulled out into the light.
He watched as your hands wrapped around the steering wheel, shining your black nails. He obsreved you paint them with hidden interest a few days ago. He'd never seen anything like that before and he had to admit that he rather liked the look of it on you.
The streets were lively. Midgardians and these machines were occupying almost all of the free space, every single one of them going somewhere, some eating, some blowing smoke out of their mouths, many actually, and he didn't understand it at all. They all had a sort of stick in their hands that they lifted to their lips and then the smoke came pouring out, much like when he first met you at that Stark party.
The car came to a stop and he looked over at you. You were adjusting your hair in a small mirror, gently moving it out of your face and planting green lensed sunglasses on the top of your head, pulling all the excess hair back completely. You noticed him staring, a thing that was happening more frequently, and playfully raised your eyebrows at him. Again, you showed no hostility towards him at all. As this happened, the window of the car that was to your side rolled down and a man aggressively leaned out of it and started shouting something. Loki's attention drifted towards the man in his forties and he scanned him with annoyance. Midgardians bored him with their weakness and simple thinking... They were so predictable and their thoughts were so loud that he didn't even need to try. This wrench of a man wanted a picture, whatever that was. You too noticed and rolled your window down as well and turned away from him. The man somehow knew your name and asked to take a 'selfie', -probably the picture. He didn't understand why but you agreed and moved to have your head out of the window. He watched in great confusion as after the man held up something and the supposed selfie got taken you bid goodbye and made the car move away from the other, slowly rolling your window up.
"Did you know him?" He asked as he was still trying to put the pieces together.
You looked equally confused for a second but eventually broke out into a big smile. "No," you said in a warmer tone "he was a fan."
"A fan?"
"Someone who has great admiration or enthusiasm towards something. He was a fan of the Avengers and wanted to take a selfie with me." You explained calmly to him. He appreciated it.
