You were thrown into a building.
By the time you regained your knocked out breath and peeled your body from the wall, covered in blinding dust, you were face to face with someone who fought oddly familiar. With a tensing body, you awaited their next move as carefully as a hunting cat watches its prey and noticed a faint shadow appear from the treeline. At first you thought your eyes were playing tricks on you, it was a dark night, after all, but as you observed the beginning of the big forest laying in front of you in search for your attacker, a harsh flicker of pain shot through your right shoulder. You looked down slowly to find that you have been shot, crimson blood pouring freely down your arm and staining the otherwise soft fabric of your shirt.
"Gotcha!" Came a low voice from somewhere before you. It was your sister's.
"Leylah?" The question tore its way from your throat as realization hit you like a brick. She has been tracking and hunting you for the past six hundred years, claiming that you were a menace, a plague even and you needed to be killed. Until now, she seemed to be out of luck, you managed to stay one step ahead of her but with every encounter she grew smarter and more vicious. The last ten years of your life you spent with constantly moving from city to city, country to country in hopes to stay alive but she always found you no matter what you did.
"Call me your destiny." She told you in a stern tone as she stepped out from the trees. The moonlight lit her face up, revealing a cold smile and her shining eyes fixed on you with an extent of hate that seemed so high, one change in intensity and she would burst.
You had long given up on taming her. There was a time when you thought that one day she would change her mind and you two could live as a family but through the years you came to face the truth and admit more to yourself than anyone that you had lost her when you transformed. She passionately hated you for something you weren't even responsible for.
Standing in front of you now was a woman who has been trying to kill you and who had no love left for you in her heart. She despised what you were and has been actively making your life living hell.
As the years moved forward the seed of rage she planted inside you grew larger and larger and now, you were nurturing a full grown, blossoming plant of pent up lies, pretending that she was still your sister, its vines squeezing your heart, patiently waiting for it to stop beating and you grew sick of it.
You moved to attack the same time she did. The two of you collided mid air with bone crushing force, rolling on the ground a few times as the shock wave of force hit you. Forcing your mouth shut, you held back an agonizing yell caused by your shoulder slamming against the mud and leaves. She was the first to stand, watching you struggle against your bleeding wound with a satisfied smirk. Immediately as you got up she charged at you, leaving you no time to react and pushed you back, your legs sliding and slipping and as you failed to hold your balance, grabbing onto her arms she, with the advantage of her position, withdrew a knife and drove it right into your lungs. You could only groan as blood pooled at your throat, the pain so overwhelming your vision started to slip. She watched your face for a moment before leaning closer and whispering into your ear. "Game's over, little sis. I'll make sure this time you stay dead."
As you choked for air she pushed you backwards like you were her least favorite toy, the contact with the ground stealing the remaining little air you had. Despite all your efforts to move or attack your body refused you, the torment of your injuries so strong, it completely clogged every pore of your being and you just lay there, slowly starting to accept that your sister was about to end you.
