Three and a half days had passed uneventfully. Loki was not warming up to any of you, he only threw you 'good morning's and 'good night's and a few 'yes's and 'no's. Today, however he seemed a little more approachable. You were met with him as you walked out of your room in the morning to get some blood bags out of the fridge and feed. He was sitting in one of the sofas, looking out at New York in the sunrise.

"Good morning!" You greeted. Your voice was raspy from not talking all night. Ever since he 'moved in' you neglected sleeping. It took your body by surprise since you enjoyed it but you wanted to make sure that Loki didn't do anything to hurt Tony, Pepper or Thor for that matter. He didn't try anything, he never even left his room during the night but it was better to be safe than sorry.

He turned a fraction but kept looking over the buildings. "Hello."

Woah. This was the first not formal greeting you had gotten from him. This bit of change drew a small smile to your lips as you poured some blood into a wineglass. After you've taken away the bag you went to take a place beside him but on the complete opposite end of the sofa. You saw his eyes follow your movement.

"It's beautiful." You said softly, taking in the landscape. The sky was deep pink, showered with light yellow reflections from the windows of all the buildings around you. The usual dull noise from the city was replaced by something more pleasant, almost like a low hum.

"It is." He said with the faintest of smiles in his voice. Progress.

You sipped your drink as you looked over the clouds, feeling the energy rushing through your veins and the power surging within you. You let your head fall back towards the ceiling as you gave yourself a moment to just relish in the feeling. Loki's voice pulled you back after a minute or two.

"How does it feel?" He asked, looking at you fully, his face carrying a bit more emotion than you'd seen him since he was here.

"Well," you stared, smiling "it's like your body melts into complete power. You feel weightless, warm and buzzing... it's just like a good orgasm if I think about it." He chuckled, actually chuckled at that as he turned his face back forward, boosting your ego even further for the successful interaction.

"Are you a special kind of vampire?" He asked after a beat.

"What do you mean?"

"How do you walk in the sun? And also, your eyes." He clarified, briefly stopping to meet your gaze.

"Oh. No I suppose I'm no more special than any other vampire. Maybe my eyes, yes, but they have no benefit at all. I just look funny." Now it was your turn to laugh a bit which died into a quiet exhale.

"I don't think you look funny." He said while looking back at you. His tone carried a seriousness you were not familiar with. He stared for a bit before he looked away and you continued.

"As for being able to be out in the sun, I have this." You held up your right hand and wiggled your ring finger for him to be able to tell which ring you were talking about. "It's laced with magic that protects me from the effects of daylight. Very few of my kind actually possess something like this. The making of one requires strong magical powers and the performing of a spell so dangerous, one mistake is enough and the person who's attempted to do it drops dead."

A low hum left his throat as he processed the information.

"Oh, good morning you two!" Thor's cheerful but tired voice pulled you out of your conversation. Loki lost all emotion beside you.

"Hi Thor!" You smiled at him.

"What were you up to? Loki, you better not have been plotting something against her." He warned Loki. The whole action felt out of pocket since he just seemed to let loose a bit. He didn't show any hostility towards anyone in the tower nor did he commit any crimes, that is if staring and not talking weren't considered them.
