The noirette was lost in her head the entire walk down, not sure why her stomach reacted the way it did to meet him. It was her second time being dressed up around him, and she was sure she wouldn't attract any commendations from him.

What if it reminded him about her going to the Rave'N with Tyler?

Her soul was ripped in half, between her cold-blooded 'I could care less about your feelings', and her 'I care tremendously about your feelings.' She wanted to be part of both but struggled to find a balance. Becoming someone who could simply state what they felt with ease was not a simple task, as it required numerous amounts of experience and time.

She was not willing to put in the effort during a case, so people would have to deal with her repulsiveness toward the topic. The harsh reality was that no one understood the tremendous amount of mental input it took to solve a case, as people tended to fall off the case out of love or something emotionally based.

It happened often in movies, where a character sacrifices their life in the name of love, and it ends out helping boost the main character to find the final clues or some sort of reasoning behind it. It was also the culprit that brought many people to tears during a perfectly good movie, ruining it with tear-shed.

But there weren't going to be any sacrifices in this case, and there was certainly not going to be any dying 'out of love' for anyone. She simply would not have it end that way. Because she would be able to control and dictate the outcome if she exerted all her mental focus on the topic at hand, and worried about hurt emotions later when it was the right time.

They spotted the boys in the courtyard, sitting on the fountain's edge. Wednesday tried her best to conceal her nerves, but Enid looked over and quirked her eyebrow, noticing the tenseness of her monochrome roommate.

She admitted she was concerned about the sudden upheaval in her emotionless manner, but then again she was delighted that she felt something towards the boy. Or felt something at all. It was a new feat that must be acknowledged, and she was going to guarantee she milked out the moment while it was presented to her.

"You ok?" She asked quietly, making sure not to alert the boys of their presence just yet.

"I simply feel sick in the stomach. I will be fine."

The raven honestly wasn't sure how she felt; nor why she was confessing to Enid how she felt. She knew she could trust Enid, but was she really at the stage where she could easily open up about her feelings? She hated the concept of feelings, where they always affected everything she did. Maybe that's why she tried so desperately to rid herself of them, almost succeeding. But in the end, she found herself unable to fully devote herself to an emotionless life.

That might have been her biggest regret.

Her heartfelt emotion, no matter how hard she tried not to think about those things. She built walls so that maybe she wouldn't get betrayed. But it seemed inevitable. Maybe it was time for a small adjustment to her life, and maybe that small adjustment was finally learning to let some people in. She knew immediately who those people were, and it frightened her how quickly she had thought of them. But they seemed to be persistent in their friendship, and extremely loyal.

Maybe the reason she felt so empty was that she had never tried to let people in.

Or maybe she felt so empty because of how many people had ruined her and left nothing behind for her to call home.

Enid gave Wednesday a side hug, and the noirette for once felt reassured by the action. Enid ran to surprise Ajax, both guys jumping up at the sound of her. Xavier looked back and stared in awe like she had the stars the night before. Diligently, delicately, grazing up and down, admiring the mesmerizing sight.
