She sat on her bed, scanning over the letter.
He asked to meet in the forest and after a few 'I miss yous' and other gooey things that made her want to hurl. He claimed he didn't want to cause an uproar by going into town, so it would be safer to meet in a more secluded area. Yeah right.
She shook her head, wondering how foolish he found her to be. Well, she had made some foolish choices last semester, and he probably believed he had her wrapped around his finger. But he was very wrong.
She stood up, and quickly found her way to Xavier's dorm.
"You two have fun!" Enid said, winking at Wednesday.
She then noticed Wednesday's face of distraught and immediately turned to her.
"Wednesday? What's that?"
Everyone looked at her, and she held up the letter.
"It's from Tyler."
Xavier immediately stepped forward, holding out his hand for the note. She placed it in his hands, and he read through it as Enid and Ajax looked between the two.
"What's going on? I thought he was long gone?" Ajax said.
"Us too," muttered Xavier, flipping to the back.
"As you know, Enid, and now you Ajax, I have a stalker. We strongly believe it to be Sheriff Galpin, as he has been very prominent in the happenings that have been occurring. The shed fire, I witnessed him light and run, he led me into a trap and was found lurking around. We have been made aware that he is one who seeks vengeance on those who do him wrong, and seeing as I put his son in jail, there would be his reasoning."
Ajax and Enid stood in shock, not sure how Wednesday handled these situations so well.
"Wednesday, we can help!" Enid claimed, grabbing a startled Ajax's hand.
"I'm not sure we need assistance at the moment, but if we need it, I will come to you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
They nodded, leaving for the girls' dorm. Wednesday turned to Xavier, who looked upset as he stared at the letter a little longer, then looked up to meet her eyes.
"It's not from Tyler."
"What?"
He shook his head, walking over to show her what he meant.
"Whenever he wrote a's, he would write them with the little stem at the top. This one is different."
She looked at him, wondering how and why he knew that.
"We worked together, and occasionally I would see his writing when we wrote the specials. "
She nodded, glad he was able to make that connection. It would prove useful on future occasions possibly.
"Do you think the UV light would pick up any fingerprints on it?"
He wasn't entirely sure now that their fingerprints covered it, but figured it was worth a try. He was hoping that Wednesday wasn't missing him either, and even if he didn't write the letter, there's no doubt he might.
"I guess we could try and see what we get."
He went to his closet and got the light, and quickly set it up as Wednesday reread the letter.
Once he finished, she quickly brought the letter over. They stuck it under and found faint fingerprints covering it, and Wednesday pulled out her phone.
