A/N: This chapter is going to be a lil longer because I know my story goes very slow at times, I apologize. But I will spread the angst into the next few chapters, don't worry it won't be short-lived! So buckle up buckaroos, and get ready for a wild ride. Starts off slow, but then we'll gain momentum. (Sorry!)~~~
"I don't know what I'm afraid of: to see you again or to never see you again."

"I think you would rock this dress!" Enid declared, holding a black dress out to the monotone girl. She looked at it with amusement, her eyes trailing down the sparkly black dress before she shook her head.
"Enid, have you not learned my despise for anything....sparkly?"
The werewolf groaned, swinging back around as she dug through the racks and racks of dresses, looking for another black one that Wednesday might possibly like. It was almost impossible for her to pick something the monotone girl liked, after all, she had a very specific taste, which included being boring and plain. Though she did spice it up here and there, Enid figured she could...change her color palette to something more colorful?
She grabbed another dress, looking it up and down as she grinned, turning back to Wednesday. The noirette looked it up and down, giving a small nod as she stepped forward and took it into her hands. The material was soft, it wasn't too revealing, and it was simple. She knew Enid disproved of her choices, though she wasn't bold enough to voice them. But in all honesty, this was one thing she would never grow tired of or change for anyone. It wasn't as if her allergy to color would just disappear. No matter how much Enid prayed it would.
Enid squealed, giving a crazed look before hopping over to another rack and pulling out a frilly, colorful, poofy dress that made Wednesday feel nauseated. She figured it was payback for the hard time she had given Enid, but she didn't have to go to these measures, she must have been desperate.
"That dress looks like you vomited up an entire candy store. It is disgusting, but nonetheless you. Let's go before I pass out from all the ridiculously colorful dresses," the raven stated, hurriedly going to pay for her dress as her roommate followed no far behind.
"So, are you and Xavier matching up this time? The theme for this year's dance is Est Aureum, sorta like a golden year to reflect on, ya know? I mean things still happened but other than that, this was golden compared to last year!"
Wednesday shot her a look, holding her dress as she sighed.
"Xavier and I haven't discussed the dance, in fact, he has been avoiding the topic like the black plague," she voiced, suddenly realizing what she had said.
"What?!? Why has he been doing that? He has asked you already, right?"
"Yes, Enid. Haven't we discussed this already?"
"Well yeah! But don't you find it concerning he hasn't brought it up since asking?"
The monochrome girl paused, thinking before walking out of the store as Enid chased after her. She wasn't entirely sure why he had been avoiding the topic, perhaps he no longer wanted to go with her, and his silence and avoidance were a subtle hint of that. She wouldn't blame him, with everything that she had dragged him through, he may not want to even go with her, or be with her anymore. Perhaps it was irrational, but it would save her from heartbreak and emotion. Always think of every possibility, so that you might avoid the emotional aspect of it as much as possible. A good interrogation never failed to get the job done.
