Wednesday sat up in her bed, yawning before crawling out of the covers. Sometimes she wished she could stay in bed all day, but she knew she wouldn't ever allow herself to do that. She felt surprisingly refreshed, for not sleeping a full 8 hours. Her brain was replaying every part of her and Xavier's picnic, picking out every tiny detail that made her smile. A soft smile spread across her lips, as she once again thought about the boy who seemed to live rent-free in her head.

She got out of the shower and put on a nice black cardigan, a black button-down, and black jeans. She wasn't sure what compelled her to wear jeans on this particular day, but she continued to put them on as she looked in the mirror. They weren't super tight, but rather a little loose so she wasn't entirely uncomfortable wearing them. She quickly braided her hair in her black braids, letting them trail down her back as she headed down for breakfast.

She wanted to find a gift for Xavier, but she had procrastinated a little too long. It was Christmas the next day, and she had to ensure she had something for him. Her mind raced, and she wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't much of a gift giver, and now she had 1 extra person to give a gift to. This was going to be interesting. She looked at the withering black dahlias he had given her, giving a small smile before heading out.

As she opened her door, she found Pugsley standing there. She walked out, closing the door behind her while continuing to stare at him.

"Pugsley?"

He slightly smiled but looked nervous as he stood there. He wasn't sure how well this would go over with her, but he was willing to risk asking.

"Can I show Xavier my room?"

Wednesday rolled her eyes, walking past him. She knew how much he had longed for someone to show all his many prized possessions, and how he had been watching the two as they walked around the house.  For whatever reason, she felt a feeling of compassion for her brother, to which she cringed harshly. She cared for him, but she wouldn't ever tell him that.

"Yes, but don't expect this to become a normal thing."

Pugsley smiled widely, not expecting that reply at all. He ran to his room, preparing it to show Xavier his most treasured possessions.

Wednesday was satisfied to see that she wasn't the only one excited to see him again.

She continued downstairs, heading for the kitchen to grab a light breakfast.

Xavier had mentioned going out to see Enid and Ajax and finding a place to eat lunch. While she was on board with the idea, she also selfishly wanted to spend time with just him. She enjoyed their talks or their silent strolls. But a part of her was almost anxious to see Enid and Ajax. She decided to just let the matter go, and focus on the time they would spend this morning if Pugsley didn't steal him away the whole time. She was starting to regret telling him that he could hang out with Xavier, but she suddenly had a brilliant idea.  She quickly grabbed an apple and headed for her room, pulling her cello towards her along with a songbook and stand.

Xavier walked in, grinning at her as she closed the door.

"You look very nice today."

"Thank you."

She watched as he looked her up and down, and it made her knees go weak. She wouldn't dare let him know that, as she would have to endure his teasing for the rest of time. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into him, giving her a small hug before looking back into her eyes, and she looked at his lips then his eyes, as if asking permission.

"Xavier! Can I show you my room?"

Pugsley waddled down the stairs, giving Xavier a big grin.

He hadn't been there more than 2 minutes before he was getting dragged away. Wednesday pulled away from him, not wanting her brother to witness any form of intimacy between the pair. Xavier chuckled softly, as she was flustered at the fact her brother had interrupted them. She glared over at him, and he smiled back.
