Chapter 7: Audition

It's been 2 days since I got told my parents have died, it still felt like a bad dream. Tia has been back to our house packing everything, we decided to leave the Brooke household, I know it might sound bad but Tia thinks its best if we stay at our old house its only going to make us more sad. I was in the guest room at the Parker's house, I sat on my bed staring in to space tears trickling down my face. I heard a knock I pulled my sleeves down and brought them to my eyes wiping my tears. "Come in" I said quietly.

"Riley I am so sorry for your loss, I'm here if you need to talk" Madison smiked weakly sitting next to me, "Thanks Maddie it means a lot" I weakly smiled back before giving her a hug. We pulled away with the sound of someone clearing there throat I looked up to see Nate standing there. He has been so sweet and so supportive but all I'm doing is blocking him out, all I really want was to be left alone. "Um Madison could you give me and Riley a minute to talk?" He said looking at me with red eyes.. It looked like his been crying himself. "Sure" she smiled standing up and exiting the room.

I felt Nate sat next to me, instantly I felt his arms wrap round me tight,tears wear forming in my eyes. "Riley...we need to talk" he sighed pulling away from the hug. I looked at him "talk about what" I asked quietly. "I know your going through a really tough time, but lately I went for an audition to be in a band...and well I got in" he said quietly looking down. I picked his chin up and gave him a smile and gave him a big hug "that's great news babe I'm so happy for you"

"Ri...that's not all" he sighed rubbing his fingers through his hair. "What do you mean Nate" I asked slightly confused. He looked at me with so much sadness in his eyes "I have..I have to leave to be a support act on tour..with The Vamps" he stuttered. I felt so empty... First I lost my parents and now my boyfriend is leaving to go on tour... What's going to happen next? "Oh....cool when do you go" I asked dissapointed looking down. "I leave in a few days...but I don't want to leave you like this...you must know this" he said almost crying.

"You mean as in few days as in my parents funeral?" I said looking up with tears forming in my eyes once again. All he did was nod in response. I stood up and walked to my suitcase and started packing. "Ri.. You don't have to leave,you can stay here" he sighed standing up wrapping his arms around my waist. "What if I dont to stay?! My mom and dad have just died, and now your leaving me! I don't care anymore, just leave me alone" I shouted pushing him away.

"Well were are you going to?! Look I am sorry I really want to stay I do but this is a once in a life time opportunity. Don't be so selfish Ri!" He shouted. "I'm being selfish " I shouted pointing to myself "why don't you just do one" I yelled zipping my suitcase before walking out the door. "At least Tia will understand Drew! She's the understanding one unlike you!" He shouted following me. I turned round "I hate you, stay away from me! Don't call, text cause were done, you know our friendship? That's gone as well" I said shaking my head,biting my bottom lip trying not to cry.

I turned away and started to walk away, can my life get any better? "Ri! Wait I'm sorry" I heard him shout, I didn't bother to turn round I just stuck my two fingers in the air. I pulled out of my phone and dialed Tara's number she was always there for me, I could talk to her about anything and she would give the best advice

Phone call

T: hey Ri! I just got told by Tia, about your parents I am so so sorry hun!

R:aye Tar..its okay I was just wondering if I could... Come to yours? And stay for a while...?

T: Riley you know your more than welcome, what happened with staying at Nates?

R: thanks Tara you are literally the best, I'll tell you when I get to yours

T: okay hun see you in a bit

R: byee

I arrived at Tara's, we were sitting on the bed we didn't really talk much about my parents as she knew it would upset me... "So what happened between you and Nate?" She finally asked "well I was at his and he told me he had feelings and so did I..before I could finish my sentence Tara interuptted " omg no way are you two together! She screamed clapping her hands. "We was...but he has got in to this band and well he...has to go on tour the day of my mom and dads funeral...he called me selfish and I thought screw him, so he not just lost me as his girlfriend but as his friend. I said finally finishing my sentence

"He what?! He called you selfish! After what you been through?! " she shouted shaking her head " I know" I nodded looking down "I can't believe him" she said looking shocked. "I know I told him not to call or text cause I won't answer, his lost me Tara for good. " I don't blame you hun" she said still looking shocked my phone rang, the caller ID showed up as Tia.

Phone call

T: hey Ri...has Nate told you about the band? Him and Drew are going to be in?

R: yeah he did...

T: how do you feel about it?

R: I feel hurt Tia..I mean we just lost our mom and dad and now our boyfriends are leaving what bout you?

T: wait is Nate your boyfriend?! And I do feel hurt obviously but I know its Drew's dream..he supports me through everything so I should do the same for him

R: well his my ex.. He called me selfish and I don't need that...so his lost me as a girlfriend and as a friend...

T: he said what?! You wait till I see him.

With that my phone started to ring again but it wasn't Taylor, or Amelia...it was Nate...

Uh oh what does Nate want? Should Riley give him another chance? Do you think he was out of order calling her selfish?
