"So what do you guys want?" Jackson asks the boys, and they choose to have Starbucks.

After taking their orders, he looks at the girls.

"You two walk yourself to order your drinks." The girls roll their eyes at him, and Jackson walks away.

Just as Y/N was about to stand, Jungkook made sure to take advantage of the situation.

"Y/N! I'll order your drink; what do you want?" She looks at him unsurely, then glances at Lisa, who wore the same look as her. She gives him an awkward smile.

"I really don't mind doing it myself." Lisa nods in agreement.

"No, it's fine; just tell me what you want," she gulps.

"Are you sure you want to place MY order?" She asks to confirm.

"Yh, what's wrong with that?" He frowns, still smiling.

"It's just that you're the first person to ever offer to order my drink!" She nervously looks away.

"Just tell him Y/N," Hoseok says from his seat.

"Ok. Two ice venti caramel macchiatos, With six shots of mocha, One quarter nonfat milk, One eight almond milk, medium whipped cream, And a caramel drizzle, With a rose design on top, In a biodegradable takeaway cup with a pink straw."
(-MSA) She rapped like Jin would do when he's mad.

The boys had their eyeballs popping out; they looked like they had seen a ghost. Jungkook stood dumbfounded, not being able to catch a single word she said.

The girls glance at them, look at each other, and then shrug.

"I think it's better I do it myself!" She scrunches her nape.

"I'm so sorry..." He looked disappointed.

"Oppaaa, don't worry! It ain't your fault... But thanks for asking; it really means a lot, and may I remind you that you're the first person to do so? I'm honoured." She gives him a genuine smile, then walks with Lisa to place their orders.

Jackson comes back and awkwardly sits in his seat.

"Do you mind if we ask you something?" Suga asked him, and he replied with an unsure nod.

"What is Y/n? I mean, like, her personality?" Jackson chuckles at Jimin's question, then sits up straight.

"She's the kindest yet strongest soul you'll ever see." The boys got curious, keen to know more.

"Can you tell us more?" Taehyung questions

"First, take a quick glance at her." They look towards the counter to see her smiley face.

"She looks happy, right?" they nod. "Well, the widest smile holds the deepest pain; that's the same with her; she does not like showing her pain to anyone; she always covers it up with that smile. You'll never know when she's sad. She never cries in front of people; she'll either do it when she's alone or when with Lisa." Their hearts clenched after finding out how the young girl hides her sorrows through the sweetest smile. They wanted to know more, so they waited for Jackson to continue.

"You see, she will never let you suffer; once she gets close to you, she'll take all your pains on herself. She can do anything for the people she loves; she'll stand like a shield in front of her loved ones. Oh yh, She does not believe in second chances; if you hurt her, that's the end; she'll not even confront you; just quietly leave and never come back to you; she'll not even care about your existence." The boys felt a feeling they had never felt before.

They were scared to lose her.

"Other than that, she will destroy you within seconds if you mess with her loved ones. She's overall very kind, sweet, friendly, loving, and caring. She is well matured, thinks quick and ahead, she's ready to face upcoming problems, and she's definitely smart." He paused for a moment, but then continued when Namjoon asked him too.

"She won't open up to you unless you have completely gained her trust. Her past is something that gets to her."

"Can you tell us something about her past?" J-hope asked with his retained voice.

"Let's leave that to her to do, but just so you're ready, it wasn't really great." He then smiled at them while they were still trying their best to digest all the information they just received.

"Yah Lisa! I slept for 9 hours and 50 minutes today," Lisa happily engulfs her best friend.

"I am so proud of you."

"It was with Jungkook Oppa, and I think I am starting to trust them all. Soon I might as well open up to them... Only if they ask." Lisa smiles at her.

"Whatever makes you comfortable."

Y/n POV
I'm sorry, Lisa. I want to tell you about the call, but I don't want to get you worried.

"Y/N! Lisa!."

We collected our orders. Since we are nice, we collected the boys orders too and walked back to our table. I place the drinks on the table and then look around.

"What's up with the gloomy atmosphere?" I give them a suspicious gaze.

"Don't worry." Hmmm. Now I'm going to be concerned, Jackson Oppa. I don't trust your Don't Worry.

I take a sip of my drink only to end up frowning, annoyed at the fact that they got my order wrong. Again.

"what now?"

"They got my order wrong!" Jackson and Lisa roll their eyes already, seeing this coming: "I said 6 shots of mocha; this has only 5."

I got weird looks from them all.

"You can tell from the taste, ok?" Yes, you can, if you focus.

A few moments later, I noticed how we got comfortable with each other—comfortable enough to have normal conversations—and we did so. We kept talking until I was asked a very random question.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Jackson chocked, Lisa laughed, and the others looked at me with curious eyes, all at Jungkook Oppa's unwanted question.

Well, it's not that I have one; to be completely honest, I've never actually felt the need to have a man; I just wanted to be independent and focus on myself and my future career.

"Lisa, stop laughing." I nudged her in response to the question I was asked, expecting it to be asked again. Lisa bites her lower lip, preventing herself from bursting out in a roar of laughter.

"So...Do you?" Jin asks again.

"Nope!" A sweet and short reply—that's what I call it. Oh, and my extra sugary smile, too, with an intimidating gaze.

"Liar!" Heck! Let me catch you alone sometime.

"Wait What?" You're not helping Jackson." I thought I made myself clear when I said you could not date until you're 25." Stop giving my lovely, innocent stepbrothers those ideas.

"Yah! She's joking; you know me well enough to be aware that I won't date anytime soon. For God's sake, I'm fourteen." I glance at the eight glaring boys and a laughing Lisa. I swear to God if she wasn't my best friend:

"Are you sure about that Y/N?" She wiggles her eyebrows. "Wanna give a little explanation about who Choi Soobin is?" Ok. That was, uh, unexpected and also long, long, LONG ago—why does she even still remember it?

The glares went down from 8 to 7.

Jackson realised who Lisa was talking about and rolled his eyes at her. But I still have seven more glares to get rid of.

"Are you serious, Lisa? I thought you were being for real there!" Jackson beat her up. No wait. Don't you dare touch my bestie; I'll murder you.

"Who is Choi Soobin?" The seven demon lookalikes asked

"Guys, don't worry, he's just our cousin; Lisa is just messing around," Jackson Oppa told them.

Soobin. The last time I saw him was when I was about 6. He is three years older than me. He had vowed to marry me, even though we were enemies. We argued every chance we got. It's true that we never got along because he always had something cheesy to say.

Having had enough, one day I punched him in the face, and since then we never saw each other because just the next day we left for London. I wonder if he still remembers me, and what am I thinking? I hope he forgets about my existence; I'd be too embarrassed to face him now anyway.

"Oh, ok, that's good because we have decided you're not allowed to date until you're 40." W H A T, Ok, so they want their beautiful step-sister to stay single all her life. You know what? never mind!. I just nodded at Hoseok.

"40? That's a bit too young, I say; make it 60." I'm not getting a boyfriend anytime soon, am I? Great. Just great. My dear Jungkook oppa, don't make me change my favourite.

"Haha. sure!" Lisa laughs

"So Y/N, tell us more about yourself, like what are your hobbies?" I thought for a moment.

"I enjoy drawing, reading, writing, cooking, Playing instruments, maybe singing, and dancing sometimes. I do tend to show some interest in sports too, so I can be active, and that's most of it."

"You're quite talented!"

"Perks of being an independent, strong girl," I say with a proud smile. And Lisa pats my shoulder proudly too.

We talked for some time before calling it a day and heading back home.

'And finally, it was a tiring yet joyful day. I'm glad we all managed to talk without being too awkward. Maybe I'm starting to trust my stepbrothers; maybe I need just a few more days. Do you think I can get close to them without either of us getting hurt in the end?'

Those were her final words, which she wrote down in her diary before going to bed.
