She pushed herself more inside the quilt, clutching it with tight fists. For some reason, her body shivered even in the warm room.

She was not ready to wake up yet, but she had school to get to in 2 hours.

However she could, she dragged herself out of bed and took draining steps towards the bathroom to get herself ready.

Y/N hadn't felt well since the previous night; she was being very moody and cranky, and she also had these weird food cravings.

Her brothers seemed to notice her odd behaviour but decided to shrug the thought off, thinking she must be on her period, 'typical man's thinking'.

But was that really the case?

She walked down to the dining room with a weak figure, trying her best to stay still. Her eyes were squinting, as if she were avoiding light.

She looked around but saw no one at the table, so she sat by herself.

The maid soon placed plates on the table with sausages, bacon, beans, and a fried egg on them.

"Where are my pancakes?" she asks the maid with a cracked voice.

"Oh, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook ate them all last night since they were hungry."

She stood up, then silently walked to the staircase, sitting down on the second-last step. She sobbed, trying not to cry. She placed both her soft palms against her cheeks, then looked down.

A few minutes later, she heard a pair of footsteps coming from behind but did not budge.

"Everybody say la la la la la!"

Jungkook, who was the owner of the footsteps, failed to see her tiny figure sitting down there, and when his foot accidentally touched her, he flinched and yelped.

Hearing him, his brothers ran out of the places they were at, inside their house, with worry.

"What happened?" they asked, concerned, also not seeing their sister at the step.

This whole time, she was just quiet and sitting still, with her head hung low.

"Y/n?" Jungkook ignored his brothers and looked down at her, calling her out in a soft voice.

He slowly sat beside her, wrapping his hand around her shoulder; his actions still did not bring any movement to her.

"Omo. What happened to my princess?" Jin walks towards them, his worry increasing even more.

Not just him; everyone else grew more tense now. They all went closer and circled around her. She sobbed, causing them to panic.

She had never cried in front of them before—not just them; she had never cried in front of anyone except her best friend. They were utterly shocked.

That wasn't the only reason they were shocked. They just never wanted to see tears in her eyes; they wanted to always keep her happy and away from problems; they never wanted to make her sad.

They were scared if they messed up again. They were scared, thinking that they were the reason why she was crying.

"Cupcakee!" Jungkook caressed her shoulder.

"I'm about to throw hands. Who made my sister cry?" Yoongi growled in anger, yet deep inside he was scared to know who made her cry—was it them? him?

"Y/N, sweetie, please tell us what's wrong." Hoseok delivered it in a very sweet and calming voice.

"Yeah, what happened? Did someone say something to you?" Namjoon looked around the room, trying to find the culprit if they were around; he had an IQ of 148 for a reason.

"Please talk to us, Y/niee." Taehyung went closer to her, sitting down on his knees and taking one of her hands in his.

"Yeah, don't scare us with your silence!" Jimin did the same as Taehyung, earning a glare in return.

Y/N just sobbed again and shook her head, moving her shoulders aside and pulling her hands away from them.

The maknaes sat stunned by her actions. She never pulled away from them. But they also knew the girl had a reason, which they did not know and were trying to know.

"Move aside!" Yoongi demanded in a cold voice.

The three quickly scooted away in horror. Though they wanted to be close to Y/N at this time, they were scared of Yoongi. Who wasn't?

This time Yoongi went to Y/N and kneeled down in front of her, grabbing both her hands.

"Why does everyone always copy me?" Taehyung murmured with a silent scoff.

"Now, kitten. Tell Oppa what's wrong," he softly says to her, in a comforting voice unlike how he spoke to his younger brothers just a second ago.

Yes, he was cold on the outside, but on the inside, his heart was as soft as cotton.

She once again pulled her hands away.

He sighed, then gently moved his hands to her face to bring her head up. She instantly moved her head to the side so he wouldn't touch her cheek, but they already had a glimpse of her face.

The scene in front of them broke their hearts.

She had red eyes and was trying her best not to cry. She also looked really pale.

"What's wrong?" he haltingly whispered.

She sobbed again before replying.

"Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook Oppa ate my pancakes."

They froze in pure confusion. They weren't helping themselves understand what was wrong with her sudden mood changes or taste cravings.

Yoongi sent a death stare at the Maknae line.

"We'll deal with them later; why not have what is prepared for now? And you love sausages, don't you?" She shakes her head aggressively. "You don't?"

"I want pancakes." Her voice breaks.

"We know you love them, but school starts in 45 minutes, right? We need to get there on time, and it takes a while to make pancakes. I promise I'll get them ready for you before you come back," Jin explained, hoping she would understand.

"Nooo, I'm not going to school!" She stood up and ran to her room before they could react further.

"YAHHH! You boys are grounded for eating her pancakes!" Yoongi yells.

"No pancakes for a whole week!" Jin adds on.

"I say 2 weeks!" Namjoon folds his hands.

"Um, instead of planning on how long to not let them have pancakes, shouldn't we focus on figuring out what's going on with Y/N?" Her reactions seem quite odd to me. She's never done any of that before." Hoseok spoke with sense.

"If we think about it, she is the one who shares her food with the maknaes; she's not the type to make a fuss over food, and most importantly, she loves going to school since she meets her friends there."

His words made the others think deeply, and they were finally helping themselves understand.
